Re: Ford Fiesta Mk3.5' Projekt OEM+ (Fanny); Cut Springs
those springs couldn't of been 60mm because now that you'v cut them theyre only about 5 mm lower than my fiesta which is on 60mm springs and shocks with mondy 15's on it.. but anyway
not to spoil a good thing this car is looking sweet the wheels suit it really well just needs the rear end "adjusting"
dont worry mate most of us have done cut springs on our cars or a mates car at some point lol

Yeah I know what you mean. The springs looked 40mm at that! I really didn't want to cut the springs tbh but it'll do at the moment.

Unfortunatly not. I've got other stuff to do as I'm going Tenerife this Friday so need to prepare. Soo the Fiesta won't be touched for a week. Until the 1st of August that is.

Re: Ford Fiesta Mk3.5' Projekt OEM+ (Fanny); POLICE :(
The Fiesta is gunna look s**t again. Got stopped by the Police, Ive got to remove front and rear plates because apprently there show plates. Got to remove the wheels because they come out of the arch slightly and the tyres are illegal? And to top it off I had a brake light out so that's a £30 fine my way. Great, can't be arsed with it now. LOL!

Re: Ford Fiesta Mk3.5' Projekt OEM+ (Fanny); POLICE :(
if you roll the arches wide or fit xr2i kit or something to widen it out , they will no longer stick out so wont be illegal

yeah get the arches flared out and add the fiesta xr/rs arches and skirts to make them legal. well to be honest the front plate is a show plate but not the rear, rear looks fine to me unless its not a reflective plate!! and get a 3rd brake light installed in a spoiler etc

wheels dont stick out do they james, looked inline with the arch on the last page. plates get the legal pressed ones from dubmeister. im sure the law on wheels is that the tyre must be within the arch whihc is partly why a lot of people go for the stretch to stay legal.
just make sure you dont run into them again

Re: Ford Fiesta Mk3.5' Projekt OEM+ (Fanny); POLICE :(
If know a fair few people who have alot more poke then that and they have never had a problem with the police. It sounds like the policeman was being an asshole. You should put normal springs on the front and take it to vosa, dont mention getting pulled over and see what they have to say about the wheels and tyres.
