Ford Fiesta Mk3.5 Project OEM+: End of an era...
Re: Ford Fiesta Mk3.5' Projekt REDshed(Fanny); New Wheels
I've got nothing against wearing pink, but seriously...posing in pictures of your own/your mates car.
Are you hoping a modelling agency is going to be browsing a Fiesta forum and think 'Yes! Yes! I must have them now!! They will look fabulous in the new fall collection magazine'
You can use my car when you prise the keys out of my cold dead hands

And thankfully white is still white which is cool
Unless you use it to polish fanny in which then it'll go pink and you're back to being gay again

Cheers mate. Yeah it sounds alright, not to loud, not to quiet!
It's either:
Get all the wheels refurbed or get the front bumper sprayed/smoothed at the end of the month. I think I'll get the bumper done first!

Put the wheels on anyway and do the bumper
Nothing wrong with slightly out of condition alloys

Suppose your right there, but I need tyres for them lol
Plus I need to sort something else out first. My steering lock barrel has seized and I need a new one. Nothing Major though. Although the RAC guy said to buy one and to fit it will probably cost me more than the car did, but I doubt that.
MOT next month aswell, wish me luck.

I've got a steering column lock somewhere, you'd just have to swap the transciever in your key, or get a new barrel made up

You can get the lock barrel repaired at a good locksmith.
The internals of mine wore down which meant even a brand new key took a few wiggles to get working, so I had the barrel re-built and it worked fine after that. I forget how much it cost but it can be done.

Make me an offer mate, it was one I bought from a scrapyard to replace my MK3.5 one but never needed to do it in the end, just used the door locks. Won't fit a MK5 so its no use to me - let me find it before we talk business lol, its somewhere in my shed

What I did was to slowly drill thru the red area until you can pull the pill shaped chip out. The red bit on the key is just a cover, but be careful, I broke 2 out of 3 I had due to drilling too much.

Hey all, no much updates due to me being at college and having no money this month haha. But Fanny passed it's MOT with only one advisory. I've bought a new barrel for the steering column, just need to get it fitted. Is it easy enough to do myself?
I'm getting my 60mm springs cut soon aswell, so I can have a decent slammage. Also tyres for the Rs wheels, awesome!

Please don't cut the springs James, it's totally unsafe and dangerous, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Springs are designed with a specific spring and damping rate and will put too much pressure on the shocks, personally I'd wait till you can get coilovers.
Steering column should be easy

with the barrel its a piece of piss m8, just take all the shroud off and then undo one of the bolts on the immobiliser so you see a little hole above the barrel. if you notice on the one you got loose when you turn the key to the number 1 it allows you to push the little nipple thing at the top down, basicly put your key in your ignition turn it to 1 and then stuck something in the hole and then pull the barrel out

Swap the pats chips between the old and new keys. The red tab is just a cover, the chip itself looks like a pill.

Hey guys I'm back with a few updates. Got tyres for my Rs wheels, they have a decent stretch on them, with, 165/50 on 15's, looks mint!
Plus I've done something stupid yet different on the rear, pin stripe red tape on rear bumper, smooth boot with number plate stuck to it. Haha!
And also I have very mint but comfy Recaro seats... I'll let Tom upload the photos tomorrow to see what you think, cheers,
James
