one day on the way to work, i passed an elderly lady at the side of the road trying to change her seemingly ok, but very flat tyre, i saw her struggling to remove the nuts, so i pulled over and her helped her undo them :)

and then off i went, leaving her to her business of swapping them over, and she gave me that ruler, AND a pen for my troubles. ive since lost the pen, and seeing as she was about 99 years old at the time, im sure she has long gone, so that ruler is all i have left to remind me of the old stranded lady :( :)

takes alot of modding to fit on.

frst throttlebody - rover end chopped off, plate welded onto end, and drilled and tapped to accept bolts for the tb
frst iscv - made to fit the underside of the inlet - chopped the bit off the end of the frst inlet, where the iscv bolts to, and welded that to the underside
rover fuel - modified to be moved down slightly, also modded to accept frst fuel pressure regulator
2 holes drilled and tapped in the rear for boost / dumpvalve takeoffs
adapter plate to fit to zetec head

have a browse earlier on in the thread, sure i put pics up of it before i got i powder coated :D

they are on the top of the suspension, look at the picture :P

they fit between the suspension top, and the struts. the suspension top mounts (the metal cup things) are ontop of them

ideal solution to the 90degree bend, would be a spacer block to sit between the tb and plenum, but turn the angle of the tb through 45 degrees. but that will be expensive and time consuming

you can try and adjust the angle of the brake servo, like is done when fitting an escort servo as an upgrade, i recon that combined with hose trimming, will get it in there.

you could even try making a remote master cylinder

yeah i wanted my inlet to look exactly like dannyboys but it was impossible to make when i had no measurements of where i wanted it, so i had to go with what it is now :(

i might get it re-done again when its all up and running :D

Makes me want to have sex wee in my pants more than pictures of heeman10 wearing fishnet stockings! :)

I'll sort out the c-spanner, and no that's not another name for heeman10, that's his speciality, when he's not in the gym he's seeing to everyone's cum spanner.

rich - not the same inlet

well, cut the roose hose this afternoon, and it WILL NOT FIT  i reckon it was going to be close with no coil pack there as i could angle it downwards, but with the coilpack on, it made it worse :(
Image
Image

i reckon i might get in contact with lee at fusion, and see if he could come up with a metal pipe instead :)

so i gave up on the boost hoses again, and finished painting off the underside at the back :D :Q

That's a right arse! Silicone deflects well and everything, but you need to allow for engine movement and rubbing too, bugger  Looks nice underneath though :)

the reason sunny is moving his servo is because i think he boiled the brake fluid, i think it was caused by the red hot turbo iirc. and he was left with nye on no brakes on one of his top speed runs :aaah: i think thats his reasoning behind the moving of it. as for me  no chance. im having enough problems trying to make 1 new rear line with a bias valve in it

**another update, 3 days in a row :oooh: :aaah: :bonkers:

well i have a cold, and my nose wont stop running, so i havent been at work and im not oing back till it stops dripping  so ive done even more work on the car today :bonkers:

fitted the new heater matrix. i dunno what people moan about ( i have no centre console which might make it a bit easier) it took me an hour, if that, and thats with a trip to ford to order some spring clips aswell :Q

why i had to buy a new matrix in the 1st place
Image
Image
Image

now im just waiting for 6 clips from ford, then i can remove the tape that holding it up

also managed to fit this all on me own, with out scratching the car, or the beam :bonkers:
Image
Image
Image
Image

so i fitted the rear avo coilovers aswell
Image

you can see the front is still the spax shock and spring, and theres a huuuge gap compared to the rear. i think it needs to go down smidge more, there a fingers with between the tyre and the arch, so if i could get it down 1 more cm, then id be happy. even so, its lower than it use to be and i think it looks mean :Q

it also use to suffer from that dreaded fiesta lean, where 1 side is slightly lower than the other side, but the coilovers have cured it, so it must have been my old suspension

would have fitted the front, but it got too windy and i dont wana get worse

cheers for the replies :D :Q

sphinx - yeah, that was me  that would be the spare wheel that has made that dent, it was the only place i could jack the rear end up, when it had no rear beam, and i had to shift it, so sadly, it did that. its not dented the actual floor, just that piece of metal you can see

chris - cheers dude :Q you can actually see more than i thought you would of the beam. maybe just because its blue and not the usual black it stands out a bit more :-?
