Just been looking on ebay... Would that be any good to me ?

Its only £199 which seems to cheap in my opinion. But its a turbo. Can someone with knowledge on the t3 tell me if that wrong spec for my needs please ?

if thorugh paypal get them on the case and aswell as ebay as he clearly states it doesnt smoke... paypal may do nothing or it may do something, luck of the draw!

I paid for it cash on collection, and i bought it back in september. didnt do the conversion until november. Its too late to complain on ebay as its been over 45 days. I have bite the bullet and will go for a new one.

My thoughts exactly. Ive had quotes of over £580 for a stage 1 turbo from 6 places. How can the ebay one be as good quality at over half the price !

Yeah i would go for a new one mat, that way atleast you have got a reputable compnay to fall back on rather than some bloke selling crap ones from his shed!

It's never good when you fork out for something and it goes wrong. It always seems to happen to those of us who can't afford to keep putting things right all the time

Update : Been a bit busy today. Went down my car spares and got a set of fresh hydraulic lifters. Mine are very loud compared to Adam's and Tony's Rs turbo, So i thought i change them.



Fai Lifters - £58.64


I made myself a container to soak the lifters in. Fresh magnatec oil


Lifters in the oil. Your ideally meant to leave them for 24 hours to fill up with oil but i didn't have that long. While they were soaking i went to take the car apart.




Disconected everything needed to access the head.



Pretty clean under here. Regular oil changes are the secret



13mm socket removes the Rockers and allows the old lifters to be taken out.



place the rockers in order they came off. they need to be replaced in the same order.



New lifters carefully slide back in, pour fresh oil over the top of the head once they are all in before refitting rockers.



Rockers refitted - i used new 13mm nuts from fords as they old ones look a bit worn. Make sure they are all tightened up properly !



Everything back in place. started it and let it warm up. lifters were a little loud at first but 5mins later they quietened right down. Had to top up the oil too as it came out the exhaust going to get the new lifters

Anyone wanting to do hydraulic lifters there no excuse now - guide anyone ?

Aint been on here for ages, but what a turn around! Great effort on the T3 conversion! You've turned this car around from being a bit ropey to a really clean example.
