Even had time to change over the discs and pads on the French Rs.

I was very shocked to see that the foreign car has litterally no rust on it. Just loads of french mud :oooh:

Thanks everyone :D

Passenger front bearing needs doing now by the sounds of things :(

I couldnt of got it sorted in time without tony, what a life saver. What took the mick was when we finished working on my car, tonys alternator packed stopped working.

It hopefully will work till next wednesday, battery light comes on dim when idle and the read out is roughly 12.5 volts from battery

We havent had time to polish our cars so we will need to do that at ford fair

Trip to torque exhausts - Take 2

Image
Up on the ramps being inspected :oooh:

Image
This is what the London speed bumps do to your exhaust if you lower your car too much :o
The flexy section started to sag due to not having a mount by the gear linkage.

Image
The flexy section as it used to be

Image
This was the end result - cut out old section, weld in new shorter and stiffer flexy section, followed with joiner pipe. He then welded on a new mount just in front of the flexy so i could mount the exhaust properly.

My leaky oil filter has done a number underneath the car. I replaced the filter 2 weeks ago because it leaks underneath and its still doing it slightly.....

Image

Got the passenger wheel bearing renewed as well. its like driving a new car .
Thats all folks :Q

The leak might be comeing from the oil pressure switch which can often look like the filter

Good stuff mate, i finally saw the recaro fiesta face to face on Sunday and it looks :Q as i was looking at the rims i couldn't help but notice 2 rather green strips sitting on the back seat, Get them fitted mate :D

Great car Clark and the work you've done in such a short space of time is incredible, considering you bought her as a rolling shell, give yourself a pat on the back, and the lads that helped you

I drove down the m25 after having the exhaust done and i saw blue smoke coming in via the heating vents. pulled over and smelt burning plastic.

Got back down to torque exhausts and the guy said its just the excess silicone burning off. They use that to seal the joins. I thought my car was on fire
