Re: The Recaro Fiesta - T3 Fitted !
Wow what a weekend
Rain didnt make it any easier but we carried on with the conversion. Engine was removed from the car to sort a long awaited crank oil seal and sump gasket along with a oil cooler gasket which had spilt in two pieces.
i let the pics do the talking

On the ferry over to the isle of Wight

The begining of removing bits and pieces.

Engine lowered to the ground complete with box , car was lifted over the top and then the lot was dragged out on a nice piece of designer carpet

Once that was done it was time for a fag break

This was what the oil leaks had done to my car.
At least it wont rust

Jay refitting my oil pump once new gasket was refitted. Sump gasket was replaced as well as the crank seals and oil cooler gasket.

Then the cleaning began next morning before engine was refitted.

One cvh ready for the box to go on ...

I removed the gear box from the cradle and this was the reason behind my knocking

Oil return fits like a glove

Escort Rs turbo bottom boost hose fitted with escort rs intercooler

T3 exhaust heat wrapped and starter motor heat shield fitted - A must for t3 cars as the exhaust cooks starters.

The finished article
I will be writing up a Cvh T3 conversion guide very shortly with parts needed and bits that need to be moved etc to squeeze in the bigger turbo

Excellent work there! Even more impressive is the show of comradery, the fact FT'ers are willing to help each other out!
I take it the turbo was good in the end? How does it go?
Looking forward to the guide

Edit- I also really like the fact you have kept the water cooling setup! All important for those short journeys! I take it the piping for that is custom?
