knuckles :its the only bumper i could get hold of at the time of rebuild. The bumpers are identical as jay mentioned except the 3 holes and the tiny cut out for the cooling fan. When it gets resprayed at one point i plan to fill the holes.

unfortunately being a everyday, commuting car in central London i don't have a garage or even a nice private driveway

Fair enough mate, i was just curious as i would have expect you to of had a genuine front bumper, because after all you are 'Mr Standard' in my eyes

Mine lives out on the street too, i hate it :(

dont count on it.

for £90 i would haul a lathe into the workshop and set it up and doing my self for ya

hmm, no scrap that, spent 3.5 hours getting a van out the mud today, the lathe can stay put

Not much of an update but finally had to replace the radiator last week. A long motorway journey popped one of the end caps on the rad. Rad weld gave way. over heating issues the lot

Image

the old leaky rad. Going to keep it as a spare to re core at some point as these aren't available anymore.

Image

one new black aluminum radiator fitted. direct replacement from original. opted for the black one over the (insert ghey rap term) chrome thing.

Image

Since fitting this the car has been so much better temperature wise. Even in traffic. :D

2 more purchases for when the engine rebuild takes place ....

Image

New Sump guard accessory kit. finally tracked one down via a bit of hunting at work.

Brand new drivers side fog lamp

you can make a sump gaude out of 1mm thick steel if you want, bend it right and its stronger than flat 3mm.
as said, its easy to make a guard but if you want it to look right, its got to be done right

danposs86 - the clutch retails at around £58 without the surcharge.

staff discount brings it down a tad

1900cvh :hi mate have you got a part number for that sump guard accessory kit ? :D

5021361 is the finis code for that sump guard kit. good luck finding one. The one i got came unboxed with a few digs out of it. May give it once over with some matt black then some wax to stop it rusting from stone chips.

Where did you get the sump guard from - had one on ebay before Xmas and it went for peanuts. Saw it being re-advertised for £50 more than was paid for it using my listing description - had it pulled by ebay.

This looks like the same one! (Did it come in a Dell box?) They certainly don't come boxed from Ford. You won't find another one - had a RS500 one which I also sold far to cheaply :x

Also got the same brand new fog and FRST clutch kit here! Think I paid slightly less for the clutch kit :P

Just needs a new front panel now

i got it from the national clearance centre somewhere up north. came in a normal box not a dell one.

It was a lucky find on edix
Regarding the front panel... i kinda like the access i have to the rad with it cut. I know it looks untidy but getting the rad out with the bumper off is so easy with it like that

bonnet would of been my first purchase as my current bonnet has loads of dents.
But the engine is top priority atm. :)

Plus its hard to find a good re-sprayer that will match it spot on to old diamond white paint work

bonnet catch was very cheap indeed. :D
