Angus Munro, RS 1800, 1999. First to have the full badboy bonnet, first feature car with clear lights, still possibly the lowest ever on 17s. It's an RS 1800 K plate but with the FRST green stripe:

Mine was LOWER than this on 17's! my 17inch rims were actually IN the arches!!!

IMO my old Moondust was one of the nicest looking FRST's in existance today

not a fan of those rims, jap style doesnt suit the fiesta and it also shows off your tiny brakes

In agreement there and the grotty rear quarter/petrol cap area spoil it too. Apart from that it does look pretty nice

Now Now Adrian Touche but remember how low that RS1800 was? I saw it down Southend after its feature and I must say that the RS1800 imho does sit lower and properly on those 17's! Iirc wasn't it lowered something like 110 mm as stated in its feature?


1992 FRST - I saw that car of yours about 3 maybe 4 years ago and then it looked smart and quite low! Not as low as it is now mind you it could be the life its had and the strut maybe sagged? The rears do look a nice height with yours but the frotn looks horrid and far too low

Yep i remember back in the day when max power was cool (featuring fords) and we used to pass it around the classroom, all the cars pictured are great cars and have been inspiration to all new fiesta owners to the present day, RAVS car looks the biz and it make me want escos rims so much, i know i would get the "escos curse " but they look so smooth & clean on white maybe i could buy a set just for the shows

Well to be honest the cars bodywork had been neglected for many years before I got hold of it e.g the rust was really bad.
The car wasnt worth fixing as the shell was s**t. It was an ideal breaker. If I remember the history correctly DJ purchased the car with EVERYTHING done on it. I also did NOT state I had anything to do with making that car as I certainly wouldnt of added the wheels and what not. Would of been left stock. It was due to those wheels that all 4 arches were rusty!
Also it was stupidly low, so stupid I didnt want to drive the thing as I felt like a right TIT in it.

Shame as I'm sure it was a really nice car once, but now fit for the scrap heap.

Adrian Eastbury, FRST, 1995(!). This was way ahead of it's time. First rear discs, first with the Mondeo spoiler (no copies back then, so pukka Ford one at £200 odd), first with the Cossie lip, first with 300mm front brakes.

I bought mine (FRST) July 1995 when i was a mere 17 years old. I can remember buying that very issue , it used to be a pretty good read. Stunning car and it was Castle Performance that did the engine mods (who i later went on to use) due to that very feature.

had 3 spoke wheels if i remember, but not the standard ones...

as tacky as this sounds, it works as i done it on a xr2 of mine many years ago now.

you can change the colour of the bumper strips etc with electrical tape, as long as the bumper strips are clean and the tape is not cold, i.e best done in summer or warm garage, you can cover the old strips and trim if needbe and your never know, i changed the red strips in my xr2 to blue.
