Re: project rs turbo rep
yeah it will fit any fiesta, its just a mk3.5 power steering one.
there basicly the ones i use on my RS to pull the camber back after lowering it.
just make sure it matches the one on the other side, if you look at the one in the picture, your see the ball joint is angled back 10mm (the 2 top rivets are angled) and the ball joint is standard length (not longer like a frst one) so make sure it is 100% the same as the other side, if its not, dont use it, you have to have ones that match other wise it will cause problems with steering and tracking

ok thanks, any idea what the standard length is for the ball joint?
ive never changed the other arm so it should be the same as the one i take off

you just need to buy one for the other side. If you only fit one then you have uneven wear on the arms which sometimes affects tracking etc. I always do shocks , arms and bushes in pairs. Cant go wrong that way.

you got a standard lengh ball joint there mate.
clark is right, for best results they should be replaced in pairs, but if the others isnt that old and dont have much wear, theres no need really

Re: project rs turbo rep
the lower arm carrier, yeah you can.
i never remove the carrier, but it can be a bit of a bugger to get the arm in and lined up with the carrier on, but ive only ever had to take the carrier off one to change lower arms
and that was because the bolts were so tight the bolt head started to round off, apart from that, i leave them in place

Re: project rs turbo rep
With regards to new bolts - sorry to go off topic slightly, you could just use some M10 or M12 ones with washers and nylock nuts - cant remember what size it is or the length for that matter, but I done this when the heads of mine got ruined

Re: project rs turbo rep
the brackets being the lower arm mounts that bolt to the chassis?
if so nah i wouldnt bother removing them, its not too difficualt to get the arms off as it is, but liek said if you need to its a possibility yes
haynes manual tends to use a bit foreign words here and there
i find the hardest part of lower arm removal and refitting is getting the ball joint of the new arm to fit intot he hub properly, new theyre rather stiff and they need to be more or less straight to slot in flush, then hammering them up into the hub all they way and using the pinch bolt to lock them in
yet again others would say a different stage is harder im sure, but none the less it all gets easier the more you do it
