I pretty much got them for free so I'm not really complaining. Most of all I want a set of RS4 spokes or even to get the standard steels banded, I really like how they look with the centre caps :O

They should be 185/60/13 on those. Not particularly unusual, but I guess rarer for the likes of more modern small hatchbacks!

I think RS four spokes have more character and would probably work better depending on the look you're going for, but banded standard steels would be the best option :)

I'd love Capri pots with 175/50/13's but I haven't got the money!! I just bought some 185/60/13's for mine but they could only find a few companies that still make them!!

I would like banded steels but not paying £50 a corner plus the extra tyres I'd need. I could get the RS4s with good tyres on for less.

Banded steels are something I'd look into, I know a few people will do 4 for about £150 I think!! Need a low car for that though!! :bonkers:

I was thinking it would probably be easier and cheaper to just swap the centres into wider rims. I'd trust them more I think.

Otto mobile, it's resin. I've got a few of theirs, XR2 mk2, Sierra Sapphire cosworth, Escort cosworth, and got the Focus RS on the way.

Not too keen on gti wheels, you will need to lower it if you put them on or it'll look like a monster truck, however, it'd cost you £100 to get them powdercoatsd so you might as well do it!!

Lowering is definitely on the to-do list. I can't pass up on these wheels though as they're among my favourites. They were on his Mk5 Cortina so I'm not sure what tyres are on them. I hope they fit! :P

Got a rev counter on the way! :D was pretty hard to find one from an HCS car. Also the steering wheel hasn't turned up as of yet, opened up a case on ebay so we'll see how that goes.

You'll probably have to pass a wire through from your 6-pin car/engine loom connector at the back of the engine bay through to where your instrument cluster is. Your engine loom will have a green wire to its connector and then nothing on the car loom side. This was one of the first 'mods' I ever did :D Takes Mr back

2nd pin from the left on the ESC right? I knew there'd be some wiring involved so that's no problem. :P

You can take it from the ESC module, but through the 6 pin connector is where it comes through when fitted at factory :)

Okay it seems the leak is really tiny and is coming down the inside just infront of the door. I couldn't get even more than a tiny drip to show up though. I poured plenty of water over it. So it most likely is the scuttle panel/a pillar join.

Have you checked the bulkhead? Right up behind the pedals?

There's not a single drop of water on the driver's side, and no water on the inside of the bulkhead, just the floor on the passenger side and it seems to drip down the panel the door bolts on to.

I kept pouring kettle loads of water over it, all I got was a tiny drip. Only thing I can think to do next is take the dash out. But first I need to buy a set of torx bits.

You shouldn't have to hard wire in a rev counter for your clocks Iv never had to on either my 1.3 or RST and iv used a multitude of different clocks  I like the look of this will be watching the progress closely

+1 on the tall driver front I'm 6'4 and it is a little squeeze  do get some funny looks when you step out and my knees hurt after too long a drive

I believe it depends on if the wire is actually there inside the car or not, some cars have a missing wire in the multi plug that connects to the clocks themselves.

Things are totally different on the MK3.5, most MK3s didn't have the wire unless they were fitted with a rev counter from factory :)
