I'm actually working on it, but it's all quite mundane paint prep work. The next update will involve lots of cut metal, a propshaft tunnel and primer

I'm 30% through shot blasting the bottom of the car, ready for primer and paint. I've turned the garage in to a make shift shot blasting booth by suspending polythene sheeting from the rafters.
It's probably the worst job in the world, I'm loosing the will to live!

I'm the process of shot blasting the enture underneath to remove any surface rust that appeared since I last worked on the car (some parts were left bare metal). It's a crap job, I'd rather eat my own arm but needs must!
I'm using Dinitrol RC800 to seal the bare metal. I was going to use etch primer first but I undestand that it's slightly porous, so if you leave it unpainted for a length of time then you get rust underneath the primer (especially this time of year). The RC800 is organic acid based and it 'etches' in to the metal and leaves a totally impermeable seal. It neutralises rust that's already there and is also overpaintable.
It's a milky colour, turns blue the minute you paint it on and fully dries black after 12 hours or so.
This is what a person looks like, painting it on:

Cheers guys, it's coming along s l o w l y
Boris - They were on the rims when I bought them and I certainly won't be using the tyres. I used to run A520's a lot, they were a damn good tyre. For this project I'm going to see if I can get hold of a set of Pilot Sport Cup's in a reasonable size.
Dan - Yeah I've stopped coughing up black stuff now
