Phil - Thanks for squaring that up with me
Great progress, looks like you steamed ahead in your last session! One huge bonus in your spun-out build must be that you have plenty of time to think things through without rushing ahead "because you can". Loving it all so far buddy, the MOT's just round the corner now

Wow this has come a long way since i last saw it. Top stuff
Are you adjusting the castor over the standard stuff, or having the front suspension adjustable?

That picture of the ST170 Loom brought me out in a cold sweat - I remember going through mine with the aid of a Ford TIS CD to figure out what everything did!
You're going further than me though, as in using all the functions of the Focus G.E.M. I only used what I needed from it for the car to run properly and run the instrumentation correctly, although I may go further on my current project!
Coming on great, mind-boggling project!

Thanks chaps, I really love to party. I'll take plenty of pics of the Mk3 panels going on.
Jimmy, I love electronics
I'm looking forward to customising the wiring, it comes more naturally to me than the engineering side.

Never would have guessed looking at the level of work gone into so far, I suppose you've got the hang of most of it at this stage anyway

Re: Mk3.5 ST170 Turbo 4x4 (Quattro) project...Update 31/03/2008
These are alll the pics I have to hand whilst at work. I bought a Damanged 2008 Mk5 Golf R32 and I'm using the drivetrain and some chassis from it. The Mk5 Golf R32 is a fine handling car, obvious from the drivetrain. Lots of aluminium and huge reductions in unsprung weight and improved chassis and geomoetry.
I ditched the TT stuff. I owned an S3 and it was the worst handling sports car I've ever owned, it was the best spec too with factory uprated suspension and it really was dire. This is what made me change direction..
I've comissioned Scort to make some aluminium lower arms. I've replaced most panels with brand new genuine Ford but weld-in cage yet to go in. The shell is going to surface processing later on this year for an acid dip and ecoat. http://www.surfaceprocessing.co.uk/for-cars.html
I don't tend to get enough time to update regularly so I'll do it in a big chunk later on this year.
