Moondust K-Reg MK3 2.3 Duratec-HE Turbo. SOLD on 26/06/2011
Re: MK3 2.3 Duratec-Turbo. 06/04/09
jimmyesh :The project is still very much going ahead, it's just impossible to spend any time on it at the moment what with me working in Catterick until Dec '09 and the car (and my family/home) being located in Colchester, I really want to get this car finished - I'll just keep accumulating the parts I need to complete it for now. Fuel pump next
Feeling for you Jim. I know just how it is, mine is in the UK and I am in Germany. Doesnt help either that I'm away all the bloody time

Cheers for the kind words guys
I'll try to get to Ford Fair etc (in the diesel
) so I can at least show my face - I was really hoping to have the silver one finished for this years' show season but that's being in the Army for you - you never know when you're going to be messed around!

Re: MK3 2.3 Duratec-Turbo. Fuel System components 08/05/09
Some more goodies arrived this week (over £100 worth
) -6 AN/Jic Goodridge connectors for the Goodridge 200-series hose that I'm using for my fuel system.
This stuff ends up costing a lot more than you think, I must admit that I never really thought about the cost of these items when I first started this build!
Fuel pump next on the shopping list...

Couldn't resist fitting a couple of them, hopefully I'll get some time to work on the car this week as I have 10 days off work as of Wednesday

Hi everyone, I've finally got the RS2000 Alloys fitted and I'm over the moon with how the car looks sat on them

I've got some time off from now until late July and also most of August off so I've got no excuse (other than money!
) for slacking off on the car now
When I'm commuting up & down the A1 every week in the little Derv, I just wish so much that this car was finished and I had all that power on tap!

Re: MK3 2.3 Duratec Turbo. New alloys fitted at last!
Ha cheers for the kind words guys
Yeah I did think about how it may (will!) struggle to put 300 or so lb/ft & BHP down through the little RS2K rims but to be honest they're just on the car for road use and I drive pretty sensibly on public roads, they're just too crowded and full of idiots already without adding to the problem by driving like a cnut yourself!
For track use I'll keep a spare set of alloys aside with some more substantial rubber
Also I think the 6 x 15" RSS2K rims fit so well on the Fez mk3's they tuck so well under the arches but still look a decent size - I've already been there and done it with 8 x 16" Esc Cos rims and whilst they look good they just don't work that well on the little Fez.

Re: MK3 2.3 Duratec-Turbo. Focus RS Clocks in 23/03/09
jimmyesh :Lastly you need a Focus partial loom and ECU for the clocks to be driven correctly - there are CAN bus signals that cannot be replicated without great effort so it makes sense to use the Focus bits.
Hi,
Did you made any progress with FRS clocks?
Sorry for my bad english...
