I know that the bottom ball joint is different but i can easily change that over.
but what about outer cv joints can i just change them over to the bigger mk3.5 cvs?

Re: mk3 to mk3.5 hubs
I seem to remember I had to use the smaller outer CVs from a Mk3.

Re: mk3 to mk3.5 hubs
SEG1 :Am I right in saying the cv joints are interchangeable between mk3 and mk3.5?
Not the joints: you have to keep those matched to the hub. The shaft outer end will fit either type though.

Re: mk3 to mk3.5 hubs
Cheers mate
I kind of wish I took that opportunity for the alloy arm and hubs now
What other hubs use mk3.5 fiesta spines?
Looking to go from as late a model as possible.
Will st150 hubs work?

What's the problem? Are you going through wheel bearings, or CV's?

Re: mk3 to mk3.5 hubs
The mk3 hubs are fine, just changing to mk3.5 coilovers and want to make the most of it.
Also if I can get abs sensor on each wheel I can have a speed input for every corner of the car.

P.S. The KA, Puma, and Mk4, Mk5 use the earlier 'passive' type of ABS sensors. If you're existing rear are the later active 'digital' type then you'll need a controller that can support both types.

Re: mk3 to mk3.5 hubs
What's the difference between the two abs types.
I had a problem with the focus abs signal on the rear of the car.
Got it running with the f88 but the signal was picking up noise from some where, tried to filter it out using the life software but didn't have any luck.
Made a bracket and pick up using a different sensor in the end.

Totally different in how they operate; the earlier ones use an AC signal, and later use a hall effect to generate pulses. If you had interference it's most likely via the cable run. Did you use standard cable? ABS sensor wires need to be twisted pair at least, or ideally shielded.
If you can let me know about the F88 it would be good. You mentioned something in my project thread about a contact of yours.
