long time no post up......
so here goes......
ENJOY!!!!!
after a few problems with the zetec s beam i bought ages ago, i took it back to the breakers and replaced it with another one. the one i had was slightly bent on one side :wall: :wall: found this out when i had the wheels on... one wheel sat lovely, the other... well.. pissed is a good word!!!!
so i got another beam, havent painted this one, just put it on with the focus hubs i had....
once all sat perfectly i set about putting together my focus rs rear disc setup....
but again more problems fitting them
the problem was the the disc would sit approx 10mm forward off the hub face and therefore the caliper could not bolt up properly....... hmmm
so thats where i started to set about and find a focus rs rear beam for the hubs/stub axles....
found one in eastbourne...
here's how i got it......
this is what left....
....just without brakes, which are goin on this.....
on the left is one of the focus hub/stub axles i had originally.. and on the right is the Focus RS hub/stub axle....
this is the difference between them...
heres the brakes....
and here's how they look on the car....
the opposite side from behind....
yesterday sent my bro off to FMS whilst i was at work....
here's what he returned with....
A 2L focus black top engine....
went up in to my store room (loft), blew the dust off the box.....
Focus Sport inlet manifold...
... and then tried it on for size
well pleased
fits perfect, gonna look the dogs when my turbo's bolted up.... gotta make up a flange adaptor to fit the manifold and turbo...
also dusted off the these.....
Thorpe Engineering Adjustable Lower Arms.... soon to be fitted....
thats about all so far.....
should have another update soon.... in between doing my gaff up and working

Glad to see you have been making some progress Rich
I want rear discs every time I see your posts
I'd slap one on straight away if they didn't shove the wheels out, could do with having a look at some Mk3s fitted with the ZS rear beam and discs really. Get it running and come up here! I love the exhaust manifold, truly beautiful
That Mk3 Fiesta on white 16s looks sexy!!
(They are 16s aren't they?)

I'm about 60 miles south of Scotland!!
Yeah the rear disc setup does sound good, and certainly looks the business. The ZS beam shunts the wheels about 20mm outwards though doesn't it? I haven't had a good enough look at one to see if any of that can be reduced, and keep the wheels roughly where they were
Congrats on the new place, I hope the move-in all goes smoothly! This is the time you have to convince the lady that an air filter is more important than saucepans
Keep us updated when you can

Ah right....I need to have a look at it all really.
rich - I can't say I do go down south often. I'm going down to Surry at the beginning of July I think, but the Fiesta isn't being mapped till the week of the 16th
I'll be down for a show or two over summer, but it's 300 miles to Surrey for me, which will be about 60 quid in fuel each way!

adamski frst :james hows bout you come and see me you punk!!!
Do you people not realise just how far away I live?! I'm practically in Greenland!! Combine that with a 15-20mpg economy average and gay UK fuel prices, and you'll understand why I don't make a habit of travelling up and down the country!
