Keeping uploaded pictures

If I were to delete a few pictures out of my gallery, would the pictures stay in the posts which use them?
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Yes they stay on the server http://www.fiestaturbo.com/phpBB/gallery/ the link/thumbnail is just removed from the gallery
