A damn good spec and a nice looking motor.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Looks awesome

Why are you running Megasquirt instead of the standard Mondeo ECU and Fiesta Si loom ?

How do you get on with the 50 profile tyres on the front ? any scrubbing as when running 15's on a Fiesta normally people choose to go for 45 profile to make sure there is minimal or no scrubbing

What other plans have you got for it ?

Certainly not a bad daily driver to have !!

looks real nice mate, though i am not a fan of the si front bumper, other than that lovely colour, nice wheelsm nice engine :)

why did you fit megasquirt when the ford stuff is easier to instal and fundementally alot cheaper?

Cheers for the comments guys iam using megasquirt on a nearly standard motor as my best friend installs megasquirt as a part time job and he needs a demo car :D :D so i get it all fitted ! and we are using a EECV-IV adapter board which plugs the megasquirt via a relay cable direct to the ford ecu connector so no loom chopping at all! we have just finish building a diy launch control which works in conjuction with megasquirt so maybe fitting that soom. i also have throttle bodies to go on but i think future plan is turbo in about 6 months so thats why i run megasquirt!

my tyres do rub slightly but that mainly because iam a lane warrior but i had mk5 phase II zetec S alloys on before same size tyres no rubbing but i do now for some reason!

power is some where i the region of only 150bhp but ive been seriously practising my launches a lot so i do surprise people!

i would like a rs accessory bumper for the front but i need something that can take a intercooler with not a lot of restriction for airflow any ideas??

Yeah, nice car, and nice spec. Anthracite? My mondy wheels will be very similar shortly. I like the SI front with the splitter, but i'm not a fan of the zetec-s rear so much.

Sphinx - done few extra mods and bit on exterior ! hows your car coming on any how?

frst2006 - the colour of the wheels is Rover MG Xpower grey as my mate has loads left from when he painted one !
and the zetec s is an improvement of how the back used to look

Image

any ideas on the front bumper then?

Looking good mate, big improvement over the si rear bumper, and I love the colour of the wheels :D

70 miles a day commute in that must be expensive tho? I commute 150 miles a week just for college on 3 days and thats using 3/4 of a tank in the RS1800 :oooh:

the cosworth front bumper would allow better air flow for a intercooler if you go for a front mounted one and mount it in the lower region where the second opening is. :)

The one in the pic has a add on splitter which you can choose to fit if you wish but i think thats a bit too low for a daily driver.

Nice car btw

hi stuart the ride with the H&R is very good it totally changed the car in the way it handled i dont find it too harsh either everyone says coilovers are too harsh for road use but i bought the H&R as people said there the best on the road comfort wise but there still pretty stiff the damping isnt adjustable on my set but to be honest just for fast road use there good enough + i got them cheap !! any more info needed ?

will get some pictures of the engine bay and interior by the end of the week.

well time for an update when i get home i will load some photo's and a few surprises.

as you all well know i went to york at the weekend with the aim to be my personal best of 15.03 i havent done anything to my car engine spec since only diffrence is i fitted launch control using megasquirts built in launch control and wooo i love it i will post a vid up when i get home from work.

and my newest time is a magical 14.90 iam very pleased as i estimate my power only being 140bhp! :D :aviator:

the compare in this months fast ford theres a focus st running 285bhp and it only manages a 14.91 and also a friend of mine has a completely stripped skoda vrs running 251bhp rolling roaded same day at that and he only managed a 14.60
