ok after the sump gasket s**t it self i pulled it apart again out the gear box, crank seal, used payen gasket, got it all back together yday what a pain to get the gearbox back in then off with the sump super glued the gasket to it sealent on half moons, leave to dry then fitted it, time to get the new turbo on 2mins and thats it next thing drives all in bolt it all up, left it at that today i started the brake pipes easy to do but hard to make it look neat at the same time, tidy them the morrow, hope il get it running the morrow aswel, got a set of wheels matt fezs old wheels il let the pics to the talking now

well been a will been busy with work ect not had much time for the RS but i made time, first off i got new wheels big thanks to matt fez, must of u mite have seen my post the turbo started smoking again then it was fix or break time then seen a cheap t3 for sale so f**k it il have another go, all i need then was brakes got a fiesta m/c but it was s**t soescort mk5 one come up so got it cut the 20mm of it welded it cut fab the brackets a bit but then i seach and found a post where some1 said the ladden thing at the back should be removed to inprove the braking asked the boss for the lift the day to put new brake lines in got that done in the mornso i ust need to bleed them the morrow now, now when i had it on the lift the day i could see rust starting herte and there,so now am striping it next sunday am going to make a spit for doing the under side, so new bushes, new engine t3,grs intercooler rad,am going to make rose jointed bottom arms, new bearings ect ect, cant wait to get stuck in,

Image

still wasnt happy so pull a few things apart
Image
oh got this just need the loom for it now

painted bumper to find its the wrong colour

Image
well had the car out for a run yday and blue smoke started coming out of the breather on boost really bad so asked sitech racing(very help full) told me its the rings thats causing it so after beening told when buying it it had new rings ffs pissed off big time, so now am going to strip the whole car down sand blast the floor repaint engine bay, inside aswel ect
so after i type this am going on ebay to look for a zetec bottom end, then
it started to missfire the other nite so i fought f**k it pull it apart then so head off to find the this..
Image
Image
theres tiny markings on the bores not to sure what cause the gasket to fail(maybe boost) it was FAI gasket i used, so to morrow il have the pistons out check damaged, no marks on the head but its prob wraped
apart from that i got sills, arch repairs for the back order so will have them monday, iv got a spit of ebay £90 really is worth it, an got a quote on paint 3.5ltrs 300 euro but its got a great shine,
il post what the damaged is the mora

yeah i got ya.

you gunna put the bits in, in 2 bits? or buy a rear panel and cut off what ya need? mind you, prob easier in 2 parts, if your gunna get a whole panels might as well fit a whole panel

i will advise againt the cheap filler repair panels though, there crap and need a fair bit of filler work to get the shapes and angles right

even if you cut the bits off you need and dont fit the complete thing (although i would tbh) them cheap repair panels are a joke, the one i got was lobbed down the garden no sooner had i looked at it, i belive my dad picked it up at some point and i think some of it was cut off to use to repair a floor in a metro, and thats about as good as they are!

grot in the common place mate, but by far its fixable, just for some people its too hard or to expensive, or they just havent got the time so scrap and start again, but good on ya fella, will be good when its done as it does show with time you can save it.

and lets face it, ive seen far far worse restored, just as you have i bet

Good work Andy....Stick with it. You should get the underside sandblasted, it will clear away alot of the dirt which is making it look probably ten times worse than it is
