MK2 Jamie :
EUFez :Tried our best to get the rear suspension off, but one of the bolts is very worn and can't get it off. So buying new bolts then getting it off by any means necessary. I know a bloke that can grind it off.

God, I am slacking abit aren't I?... And one of my New Years resolution was to finish the Fiesta. Pttt AHAHAHA

You are slacking mate :P I wanna see it slammed on those alleycats!

Well the problem is... I only have the rear ones at the moment.

Haven't recieved the fronts yet. Having trouble with the seller you see.

THOMMA55 :
xr2irhys :the heads round off on the bolt u mean ? u tried a 6 sided socket?

we started off with a 6 sided socket, was already a bit rounded off as we started, than couldnt find anywhere open so we had to make do with a cheapy stud extractor which was as usefall as a kick in the balls.

just grind the head off then nock the rest of the bolt though :bonkers:

We haven't got a grinder. I know someone that does though and can supply me with new bolts. Simples!

Bad news - Rear Quarter Panel has been damaged. Obviously I've parked up somewhere and some idiot has just gone straight into the side of it then drove off. Second time it's happened to me now in this year alone. Hate it! Feel really upset about the way it looks now... Some of my mates think I can pop it out, it's quite a large dent. We'll see. I'll get some pictures up.

Has anyone used PDR services before? Are they any good? I was gunna ring them ages ago about a few dings but never got round to doing it.

Soooo all in all a great way to end 2010. Let's hope nothing else happens. LOL

thats $hit luck mate :(
you could prob push 90% of it out but if the dent is as large as im thinking it is, the metal would of stretched a far bit so prob wont go back into place fully...
i'll wait to see the pics though

PDR is your best bet, you'll be surprised how brilliant they are.

Some arse reversed into my car and put a lil dint in my boot, not much but i know its there.

Thanks guys.

The dent is pretty huge, I'll definatly get a picture up tomorrow. Yes I could probably pop it out, but as said, will never be the same again. baxtered some people...

But has anyone actually used a PDR service before? I might look on Youtube for video's actually. Looks pretty impressive how they do it. Hope they give good results if I do use them for my dings and dents lol

jesus thats nothing lol, that would push right out, take the quater panel off and push it out, get someone on the otherside putting pressure on it so it dont pop to quick and flake the paint off

but yea thats a clean looking dent, no creases or bends, probably wont even leave a mark

i agree and disagree with the above, yeah it will pop out, but its damaged the swage line so wont be right and your still end up with a dent under the line or the line wont be right, which will need beating out a bit to get it right as the metal has been stretched.
but over all, its not too bad really and a easy repair

I agree, it will pop out definatly. But as said, it will crease. Gotta get the PDR patrol out, I've seen some YouTube videos, the things they do are top notch. Let's hope they give good results on my car.

Ohh and by the way, sorting out new nuts for the Coilovers as the old ones are fooked! Then the Coilovers will be on and Fanny will be kissing tarmac. I know you think I'm all mouth, as I've said this many times, but expect pictures during the week. :Q

Yeah. Correct, I am still planning on having bike carbs put on. With some big help off a bloke on here that done it to his Si. Not too sure when I'll do it though... Definatly sometime this year.

1.1 mate, does the job for me. I'm not that heavy footed so I dunno how fast I can get outta it, probs around 80mph LOL

Agreed, not that fast at all. But their not built for that. Although with the right exhaust and an air filter, they do sound nice. Obviously the tappets can be terrible but they can be adjusted. Something that I should of done a long time ago but still haven't got round to doing it. Must soon though, sounds awful when you stand outside of the car.

as i started on a 1.1 first aswell,
i then progressed to a 1.3 there was quite a difference, did'nt have to change down on hills etc
same exhaust system was alot louder,

i reckon if your dead set on going for the carbs etc, then hats off to you
but get a 1.3 in there first, make it a little more worth while!
