Thanks to FT Mod, Rhinopower, for cleaning up my thread. Appreciate it! :)

Right then... Back on topic. Fitting the brand new Lower Arms tomorrow. Ready for it's MOT re-test. Bloody hell, I hope it passes and this mess is over and done with so I can drive it again.

Here's the new Wishbones, with brand new Ford bolts:

Image

No, not Polybushed. Not worth the hassell really and haven't got time to waste, waiting for them in the post. They'd be useless anyway lol

Straight after the MOT it's back on it's arse again and heading for the bodyshop after Xmas. Cannot wait! :Q :Q

I would say let the pictures do the talking, but it won't be a while until I actually go to one. So I might aswell tell you. I'm either having the FRST bonnet repaired, smoothed and sprayed OR have my standard boot, restored, smoothed and sprayed?!

The standard boot is having a smaller number plate recess for my private plates to be placed, and being smoothed for the usual things like, wiper hole, lock.

The bonnet has several dings and a tiny dent at the front near the badge. I want that all sorted aswell as the swage line and the hole behind the badge smoothed over.

Ohh and I forgot, another thing on the list is the roof. Has a good sized dent on the side of it. Needs to be sorted. I might aswell get them too spray the roof black as my original plans was to have a black roof.

Sooo yeah pretty good. I may aswell restore the Allycats myself. Keeps me busy I guess, and saves me money.

They should fit pal. I fitted one today. Just to check. So if they look like mine then they probably will fit. I know how you feel with the Mk3.5 issue. Pain! But I guess if you go to some good places then they can sort you out, eg. Motor Parts Direct or Ford! eBay and Gaz are outta the question when it comes too stuff like this...

Cheers. Funny that because I work in a 3M building and they give me free bits here and there. I've seen their Carbon style vinyl and it's good quality and cheap. But was unsure wether a 'Carbon Fibre' styled roof would actually suit the overall look of the car? :-?

I have a few pieces of that vinyl in my shed. Was gunna wrap my door handles in them. But it'll look gash!

Damn straight! Never buy from Gaz if you ever thinking of it in the future. Products may be 'good' but the customer service is awful!

Can Ford still provide doors for the Mk3? Mine are shattered now. Dents galore, PDR isn't the answer trust me. Would love new ones.

I did think that they did still sell them. As a few members bought some new ones on this site. Good price. I'll go down my local dealer over the weekend.

Right then. A few updates. New Lower Arms have been fitted! Drives soo much better now, steering has improved alot.

The car is now ready for it's MOT. Tomorrrow! YAY! :D

Plus my new private LEGAL plates have come through the post. Well happy!

Image

Here's my old Lower Arms. Knackered! Bushes are totalled...

Image
Image

I'm going to keep the old Wishbones and give them a refurb, paint and Polybush them. Might aswell otherwise they'll go in the bin lol

Decided the Allycats are staying Gold now. Personally I think the whole Red, Black and Gold theme will just work.

More to follow. :)

First time I noticed mine was split was before the MOT when I took the wheels off the front. But it was only damaged slightly. But you never know until you take it off.

Mine handled terrible before I had the new ones fitted. Felt really heavy and like I was driving a boat on rough sea's.

Plus there was always a clicking sound as I drove off.
