Hi mate, #7 is £9.95. As for the clay, i take it you mean the mild bar that's in Quik Clay? It's only available in the QC kit unfortunately, not separately.

Although it is not yet complete, my website is now live!

www.detailedobsession.co.uk

The online shop is up and active. Feel free to browse if you want to read a little more about the products.

The site is work in progress, so more and more will be added in time, include guides, galleries etc.

At the same time as the shop becoming live, i've been able to review prices, and many have been lowered! This means my prices remain amongst the cheapest on the net.

The payment system is powered by PayPal, but you do not need a paypal account to use it. Simply checkout, select paypal as your payment method, select that you don't have a paypal account, then pay with credit/debit card as usual.

Gaz7 :Gareth,

Moondust, being a light silver with a lot of flake, is best cared for with:

Polish - ClearKote Vanilla Moose Glaze
Sealant - Poorboy's EX-P
Wax - Optimum Car Wax

Glazes and heavy carnauba waxes don't suit Moondust, so these are omitted.

As for solid black, you have a range of options.

For polish, you can use either CK VMG or PB's Polish with Carnauba Blue. You should then glaze with ClearKote Red Moose Glaze, to deepen and wetten the finish, seal with Poorboy's EX and wax with ClearKote Carnauba Moose Wax. For a real concours finish, you can add a 'smoother' wax (ClearKote Yellow Cream Wax) before the finishing wax for the wettest look possible.

HTH

Gareth :)

Cheers for that, could i please have a price for all of the above products including a clay bar? Im ready to purchase :D

Gareth.

John, you only need to apply the RMG once, you won't get any benefit from two layers. Apart from that, you're spot on :)

Feedback Time!!!

I decided to order some stuff from Gaz's website on 27th, in the evening. I got an email early the next morning to say they had been despatched, et voila, next day (29th) they'd arrived.

Top service from a top guy. Keep it up Gaz :D

BTW, bit of a strange question, but on the print out you said about washing them in non biologial liquid, is non biological powder ok? Providing i don't use softener, i guess it is?

Thanks again for my goodies  Keep up the good work!!!

Hi mate, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated :)

I don't recommend the powder for the towels, as if it doesn't fully dissolve it can clog the towel up. Non-bio powder is okay as a last resort if you don't have liquid, but i'd still personally try to stick to the liquid - it'll prolong the life of the towels :)

Hi Gareth,

Just want to say thankyou, the products arrived today. :D

Very good detailed instructions as well. :Q

Cant wait to have a go with them now.

Thanks again,

Gareth :)

ps - Just one quick question, after using the CK carnuba moose wax should i then seal with EX or will this suffice with out the EX.

Hi Gareth, i'm glad everything has arrived safely :)

The CMW is always the very last product you use - this is the 'finishing' product. It will bond to the EX sealant, but the EX sealant will not bond to the CMW if you try to put it over the top.

Your application order should always be:

Clay > Polish > Glaze > Sealant > Wax.

Once the whole setup has been used, you do not need to use all the products all of the time - you can just top up the finish between full details by applying another layer of the finishing wax - quick and easy to do, and the more layers you put on, the better the car will look.

Thanks again,

Gareth :)

Hi mate,

If it's a Puma, it'll be Panther Black, which does indeed contain a lot of flake that you can bring out.

You should consider this line up:

Polish - ClearKote Vanilla Moose Glaze
Glaze - ClearKote Red Moose Machine Glaze
Sealant - Poorboy's EX-P (you could put two layers on to really pop the flake)
Wax - Collinite 476s Super DoubleCoat Wax.

Removing swirls by hand is nigh on impossible. If you want to try, you need to use an abrasive polish like Poorboy's SSR1 or 2, and work methodically with patience. You may be better off just masking them however with products that contain a lot of fillers. In the above line up, the RMG helps with this, and you could swap the polish to Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba Blue for more masking ability.

HTH

alright gaz.
just asking for the min as i dont have the money just yet.

cars been painted, solid red, no clear coat, will be nibbing it over then compounding it with some G3 then a fine compound.

what you got to put on after? dont want any milkyness that the compund can sometimes leave, looking for s good wax or a polish as all i got now is auto glym which is good and turtle wax.

dont rape me though
