Re: Delocking doors
Yes, you need remote central locking of some sort, your looking at an aftermarket system really. You can fit ford central locking, then either buy an aftermarket rcl kit (fob, mechanism, etc) or phone somebody like clifford and ask for somebody to fit a rcl to your car.
As for when/if the battery goes flat, the common method is to run (descreetly) two wires from your battery and tuck them somewhere easily accessable, inner wing, bumper etc.
Hope this helps.

Re: Delocking doors
lol at the car they came off!
Those style central locking kits don't fit easily at all, so you'll need original central locking stuff to put in. Then an aftermarket alarm to unlock them, and those push buttons will pop the doors. These obviously wont work when the doors are locked. I'd also wire in remotes to pop the doors, but that's just me.
Then you just need a way of opening the bonnet or a wire from the +ve to get enough power to the car to use the central locking. Unless you keep the boot lock and use that in emergencies.

I think he means have wires hanging down (connected to the remote locking) which a battery can be connected to so you can at least get the doors open.

Nah, just a wire from the +ve terminal of the battery (the body's your earth) that you can attach a booster/battery to so that you can get enough power into the system for the alarm and door poppers to work.

You'll find the majority on here prefer mint standard looking cars using original Ford stuff rather than lairy bodykits.
Central locking can be gotten off any 3dr Fiesta with the Electric pack at you local scrap, from the For Sale section on the forums or from eBay.
