Well picked up on Mike
Not quite as storming as your 2.1 16v running up to 2.5 bar ehh!

Took your advice & got Ian to do the job as he's just down the road from me. It's still early yet as he's trying to see what pistons will fit, Keeping the 16V head as the injection system will run it ok, will be using standard Mk6 inlet for the mo' (Escort engine, not mondeo) untill I have more money i'll run medium boost, modifying my Escort manifold so I can keep my T3.

Untill it's all fitted & running I won't be able to work out which inlet manifold to use permanently, so I won't know about your injectors/chip untill then 'cso I don't know if he can get the CVH EFi manifold to fit.

Try emailing Ian howell at ian_howell@lineone.net & tell him what sort of power you're after. He's probably the best you'll get hold of & will give you good advise on what route to take.

[You missed the "l" off Ian's email :)]

[Edited by Adrian (09-10-2000 at 12:11 PM).]

I have a friend who converts the 1.8 or 2.0lt block for about £400...once this is done, you can assemble the rest of the parts yourself, or find a half decent engineering company to assemble it for you.
Power? my car hit 233bhp at 10lb and is now running 21lb boost.
The whole engine bay, including the cozzie management came to about £5k.

Jeff

Problem is jeff, none of us are any good at sizing up the pistons. Bolting the head on & dropping the whole lot in is fine.

Ok,
I can point you to a firm that will assemble the whole engine for £450...they build virtually any engine...a friend has had a twin-cam, 2.0lt ze-vh, cozzie managed, twin chargecooled, twin throttle bodied monster fitted into his S1 which WILL make 400+bhp!

Jeff
