White dials...
Hey i recently got some white dials for the speed-o-meter, rev meter.. fuel/temperature dials but i cant seem to remove the pointers to put the dials on...
The pin like pointer things... that show how fast your going.. i cant seem to get those off without snapping them...
anyone know how to remove them? without breaking them so i can put white dials instead of the original black ones?
Thanks

Firstly Welcome to FT.com
.
Secondly it depends what white dials you have bought? When i bought mine, i took the sticky pads off, put the hole (thats in the new dial) through the needle and worked it up and over the otherside of the needle (small end), then when you have it in place stick it down.
The first time i did it i snapped a needle because they are weak/brittle (or at least mine were) so be carefull when you doing it.
Hope this helps.

Well, when i broke mine i had to leave it like it was untill the weekend, then i could get to my scrapyard and replace the whole speedo unit which isnt too much of a pain
.
I think you can remove the needle but then you'd have to buy a new needle anyway so at the time, for me, it was easier to buy a whole speedo unit (£5 from scrap yard
).
Just take your time and be as carefull as poss
