When you listen to a certain tune......

Postby SimonT on Sun Jan 19, 2003 4:14 pm

Is it me but some tunes i listen to give me a natural rush. You nkow, make you feel kinda happy and make your back tingle.

It seems to me that a lot of music coming out now doesnt haev that effect.

A lot of older tunes (from about 89 - 97) seem to do it for me!!! (even a bit of old heavy metal or some old hiphop)

The last tune i bought that really "buzzed me" was that "Adigio Barbers something" that trance tune with the PLatoon music sample.

Just wondering what other people think.

cheers

I defo agree with ya!

I mean some songs just have that effect and sad to say no recent ones do it for me.

When Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space (Green Court remix) came out in 1999-2000 on EMI WL, That track had that exact effect on me, But when it got commercial everyone knew it and it doesn't become personal to you anymore :(

Lange - Follow me has that effect, also on a more personal theme Ian Van Dahl castles in the sky always brings back memories of me and my mates busting grooves up and down the country, actually making building movements!! Like laying bricks and stuff!!

PVD for an angel, is the same!

Ones that do it for me are Delerium - Silence (Tiesto Mix), Dumonde - Never Look Back, and a few others. Usually tunes u have a good 'time' to in a club, kinda nostalgia i spose.

yea know the general feeling here, I thought it was only me that had quivers up my back when I heard an amazing song, and makes me go apsolutely mental with excitement.
I want to get a compilation cd of all the fav oldies, that still rock it. as most of the new stuff coming out becomes commerical in a week

Ratty - Old skool master!!! I remember when Ratty, Tango and Fallout had some mental tunes released!!! Agree there!!!

Age of Love - WHAT A FOOKING TUNE!!!! Definatly rushy!! The hard remix called "Age of Stom" 1994 i think was absolutly outstanding. one of me best tunes ever that!!!

Also:

Messiah - Temple of Dream 1992 - Classic

and

Toytown Original - Hixxy and Sharkey 1994/5 - I love that tune!!!
