Blast from the past here.... if you weren't around here in 2005 you won't know what I'm on about....

James Fergusson ripped a load of us off around that time essentially selling goods that didn't exist. Digging in some old paperwork this evening I came across all the paperwork from the incident, copy of the cheque I sent him, etc. Luckily for me it was only £200 but I know others were taken for more. I had basically written it off thinking there was no chance of him ever coughing up.

I enquired to the Frome Police (local to where the cheque was sent) a couple of years ago who were as helpful as always, ie not. They had no trace of a 'Fergusson' to do with fraud or theft. However searching on here for posts from the time there was talk of people speaking to the Police, of him going to Court, etc.

Does anyone know what happened in the end? Was there ever a trial? Is there a crime number?

Incidentally there was an address posted that was apparently his: 8 Grafton Street, Adlington, Chorley, Lancashire PR7 4JG. Searching the electoral role suggests there is a James Fergusson that lives there who is now a company director of "Get That Help Limited". Of course it could just be someone by the same name.

Can anyone positively confirm whether the James Fergusson that lives there is the same guy?

I know it's years ago now, but for the sake of a stamp I might as well send him a formal demand plus 10 years of interest and see what happens!
