Top rad hose options
I fancy adding a temperature sender and gauge as a way to keep an eye on coolant temps.
The dash in my car is originally XR2 with some parts of the instruments from different Mk2s so its hard to get an accurate reading anyway, the gauges were never that accurate to begin with
I want to go after the top rad hose as it's temps going into the rad I'm bothered about, and the current gauge sender is in the head
I don't fancy chopping up my current hose though, they're £60 to replace
Is there a hose maybe from an Escort that can be nodded to fit? I guess there's always flexible hose and an adapter if it comes to it
ETA - I'd tried a sender in the takeoff for the turbo water feed, but that doesnt seem topick up anything for some reason, maybe not enough flow

Re: Top rad hose options
Personally I'd make one up using the various Samco straights and elbows and put the alloy take off in the middle.
Problem is that will probably cost you more than your standard £60 hose.
If all else fails why not buy a couple of escort ones (from scrappy if you want cheapness), the adaptor and im sure you will be able to make something up.
Cheers Chris

Re: Top rad hose options
I found a place on ebay that does flexi hose which is OK for coolant and high water temperature, measured the top rad outlet and ordered some 35mm stuff, think it was £7/metre and a metre will be plenty.
