The sun strip is off .... Windscreen feels 100% bigger now, as the sky is now visable
Had to use sericol industrial thinners to remove the glue residue.
You will have to excuse my mobile camera pics, as thats the only thing i had on me at the time.
Comments as usual folks

Is that the offending sunstrip dangling from the railing in the first pic?
Just have to get the decals off the skirts now unless they're staying!
Looks sweet as a nut mate, Good work.

I think it looks 100% better without the visor, now you just need to remove the ones from the side

Thanks matt . Yes that is the sun strip hanging in the wind. It will be for sale soon under Fiestaturbo.com memorabilia
bakewell001 :Nice mate, just needs those green side stripes now!
As soon as i successfully straighten out the 2 door strips i will get them on the Rs.
h196jne :I think it looks 100% better without the visor, now you just need to remove the ones from the sideand put your own touch on the car
Thanks fella.
I'm not sure about removing the side ones just yet, as i still want the car to be known as the recaro fiesta.
jayrs :get them wheels silver again
No

Thanks

I know I'm gonna have size issues with the cosworth brakes that's why if and when i do refit the std wheels , std brakes will follow suit.
Wheels are staying black.

MarkRS2K :looks good mate, so is everything finished now then? did you stick to you budget?
As with every car of mine, its a work in progress so no its not finished. Still got loads to keep me busy.
If i stuck to a budget with this Rs it would still be in adams garage
Unfortunately the pics do not do the wheels justice. They are much better up close.
Max - i had no problem with my std brakes on my xr2i. If you drive round with 250bhp then yes i agree bigger brakes are required. My rs is just running standard power and std boost so the original brakes will be just fine. I was thinking of grooved discs with mintex pads.

Fair enough, I just used to like them for the feeling of knowing they are there. Great on motorways for gantry brakers and snarl ups anyway!

Update....
Took a trip down to Torque of the devil in uxbridge today to find out why my Rs is running too rich. Got it on the dyno and they did a compression test after they saw my black/oily spark plugs. All 4 pistons were just fine.
Just before the first run, connecting up the stuff. The first run came back as 124bhp and showed my boost was holding 5psi. The air/fuel ratio showed that on cruise the engine was running lean but on full throttle it was rich. Fuel pressure was ok.
This was the second run after a few tweaks. I was then told the rubber pipe that goes from the actuator to the amal valve needed replacing and a new t-piece. So on it went, altered the boost and gave it another go.....
144.5 !
Not bad from a std setup with a quick fiddle
The final run was very pleasing indeed. Sorted the air/fuel mixture after some more tweaks, the outcome...
146.5 bhp
150 lbsft peak torque
8 psi max boost.
I was happy with that. Now it idles perfectly and doesn't idle erratically in traffic. The jerkiness has now gone too, a lot more smoother to drive
Video of final run
They were very friendly, gave excellent advise on what to think about for the future and very well priced too.

Cool, Good figures! These guys seem to be doing well for being so new!
I like the DynoDynamics rolling roads, My local place (Surrey Rolling Road) has them. Seem to be very accurate!

Gotta be happy with that!!
Is the fainter, dotted line the tourque curve yes? You can see how much they improved the smoothness of the power. The read out from first run is jerky as fook and drops down the further it revs
but in the 2nd to last read out you show there it has a nice flat tourque curve.
Bet it's loverly to drive

Thanks everyone
I'm really happy with the power output and had a big grin on my face when it reached 145.
I won't say what i paid today, but i walked funny after for a while
Prices:
Rolling road power test £50 inc vat
Rolling road time £90 per hour ex vat
Other services:
clutches,
power upgrades,
fault diagnosis,
suspension upgrades, Brake upgrades,
Engine management (mapping),
Engine building, Gearbox rebuilding.
Scarlet pimp mobile: the broken line on the graphs is the fuel mixture - shows if its lean or rich.
The Rs feels so much more responsive now i have sorted the engine. Now i should get more fuel economy.
Sphinx: Don't worry the skirt stickers are staying
New lower arms are on the list to be done next along with replacing worn brake pads and discs. Drivers side rear coilover needs replacing too as its leaking fluid.
Note to everyone who wants to own a Rs turbo......
Make sure your pockets are big enough
