little update. havent done much myself. I Let the ford guys loose on it ! :o

Image

Got the leaky drive shaft oil seal sorted.

Image

i asked them to replace my rear beam main bushes. They didnt have the tool to do it ... i Was told i had to buy the tool myself for £65 for them to do it
So i had my broken anti roll bar clamps and bushes replaced. Then was told my rear shocks have seen better days.

Image

Image

they had no fluid left in them

Next day these turned up from the factory :aviator: :aviator: :aviator:

Image

Image

Now these have been fitted its like a new car once more. Back end no longer jumps out around sharp corners and speed bumps are not a problem anymore. Rs sits a little higher now.

Engine is still going strong despite knocking its socks of every morning from cold.
My next move hopefully will be to get a cvh head reconditioned from cylinder head developments and then get the rebuilt engine in asap.

Knuckles.

thats an unusually clean fords workshop mate,
compared to our place which is stinking compared to yours,

handy working in fords with the discount though is'nt it!!
i know the mk3 fiesta slide's off by heart now lol

good to see you've still got faith in the car,
what were the front shocks like if the rears were that bad??

The front shocks are koni adjustables which are perfectly fine. The rears were fitted to replace the horrible coilovers i used to have on there. Didnt realise how bad they were back when i fitted them

It is handy working at fords but even with the discount i still get stung in my pocket ! :(

The rear shocks were very cheap but the labour to fit them wasnt

Looking good mate, You don't really need a tool to do the bushes though. Well I didn't for the ZS beam but it was off the car!

They are Rs turbo prototype alloy wheels. The first batch had the dimples. But to make wheels cheaper to make they left out the dimples when the car was released.

With the discount it would be rude not to get brand new ones. Gmax or koni would of set me back more money. At least with the ford stuff i get warranty with them too :D :Q

Nah ricky didnt do it. he was too busy. I could of done it myself but i just couldnt be bothered tbh
rear beam fancy halves ??? :-?

well i wont tell ya what i paid but they were £38 each before vat :D

that's about it for a update.

still ain't got the cash together to get the head refurbished at cylinder head developments. Once it is done though my rebuilt lump will be going in.

i have acquired a 195 ofab chip and beiges injectors as a swap for my T2, but im in two minds whether to fit them to my daily commuting car. i do £25 a week in fuel as it is.
