heeman10 :A fine choice of alarmOur cars are going to be brothers soon!!
Yeah mine's the "weedier little brother" at the moment though without a nice bit of forced induction like yours
Hopefully have a nice supercharger... one day

Get an electric one off eBay, they give a proven 1200% power increase
You can't beat sharp N/A response sometimes, and it sounds good from that brilliant video you uploaded a few weeks back

I paid £190 for it brand new still in box unopened and i have the full installation instructions saved onto a USB stick at the moment.
I'm an electronics technician by trade so it shouldn't be beyond my abilities fitting/ setting it up (hopefully

Cheeky tw*t !"
As for the respray bloke he lives in my old town (Sittingbourne) and does accident repairs etc for a well known car manufacturer but as he has his own spray shop and low-bake oven etc he also does some "cash in hand" stuff

Just drove the MANJ back from Kent today all MOT'd and everything

Here's a little pic of a bit of "leisurely" driving on the way back!
Sorry about the poor quality - a bumpy road, coilovers and a mobile phone camera don't help!
The road was quite empty but someone in one of those horribe little peugeot CC thingys was right on my arse when I was just rolling along (in the slow lane) at 80mph - OBVIOUSLY trying to provoke me into nailing it!

The thing is, it was totally unstressed at 135mph and got there VERY quickly even in 6th
And I only stopped there 'cos the "hairdresser" behind me had sacked it
The car does well in excess of 140mph, i'll have to take some more pics/vids. I know it's only the car's speedo saying that but even with error it still isn't shabby in a 13 year old fez!

The problem is now it cruises at high speed 100-110 so leisurely in 6th that I forget I'm doing it- D'oh!!

Ashame this couldn't have come to brunters last year. Can't beat a bit of track to try the car out without worrying about other road users.
I've only once got a decent speed on the motorway, was about 1am and there was a little stretch with nobody around, but caught up with a lorry so slowed down again

Yeah I know your feelings mate! I don't drive like a dick on the roads normally but after all the months building it and it finally being road-legal I couldn't resist giving it a blast!
Thing is it reaches 130-140mph nice and quickly so I can just back off once I've proved my point to said hairdresser car
I think the gear ratios help a lot as it's not mega-powerful, about 180bhp but it just flies!
I've heard loads of people claim their car does a certain top speed but in reality a lot of them have to keep their foot planted to the floor for about a week for it to get there!

lol i now consider my bonfire to be well and truly pissed on!

Yeah I wasn't trying to get the best photo i could, I was just showing the revs/speed for the MT285 6 Speeder - i reckon 7krpm+ in 6th would be VERY fast! (it revs to 8krpm)I'll give it a try but have an idea that I might need forced induction to get there
...Or i could always leave my foot to the floor for a week

You guys are fooking nuts, photographing your clocks at 130+mph. At that speed I like my hands the on the damn steering wheel!
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

heeman10 :
You may say it's only 180bhp jimmy, but mine's been running that much for something like a year now, and it does not make for a sluggish Mk3 Fiesta!
Yeah I know!
In fact I would rather have this Modern Reliable ST Lump/Transmission etc than my previous 220bhp mad n/a connaught lump- it was very quick but what I have now is SO civilised in traffic AND economical.
It was a nervous moment waiting for the MOT man but I'm so glad it went through after 8 months of hard graft! I had sweaty palms the whole time he was looking it over
Fitting the Concept g5 650 tomorrow. I dont need this one getting nicked too

The highest speed I've gone while taking a photo was about 115 AND the picture turned out crap

Anything impressive, I'll get someone else to take the pic while I grip the wheel for dear life

It's not as though it's chaotic mayhem just because you've exceeded 100mph
Brum *click* brummmm. Sure, 100yd marker boards take 3 seconds to pass all three of them instead of 5 seconds per board, but other than that, it's not as though you have to wrestle.
That is all

Yeah that's where the running gear has to sit in order that the driveshafts line up perfectly with the hubs when using the MT285 6speeder as it's a chunky old 'box!

I thought things had got a bit tighter behind the rad hence why I fitted the RST fan to the front instead...
Also the way it's mounted helps the focus inlet manifold stay clear (only just!) of the brake linkage bar - if I could go back in time (or could be arsed!) I would have just junked the whole ford brake linkage set up and used a rally design pedal-box as that would have saved some space - ah well it's done now

Think I still got room for a supercharger conversion though!
(just need my bank charges claim to pay out!!)
