The Bucket

thought it was time to put up my own thread after looking at quite a few on here!
car is a mk3.5
once lived its life as a 1.6 si but currently is running rs1800 spec
spec is as follows
rs1800 engine ecu+remap
4-1 manifold
decat
full scorpion exhaust
front upper strut brace
mondeo v6 front brakes
mondeo si 16" alloys
lowered 65(?)mm on spring/shock combo fully polybushed
rs turbo/xr2i bodykit and bonnet
stripped interior
tinted rear sides
how she sat for a few weeks
took it to some trackdays like that and was massively impressed with the power delivery and handling, a mate was going to a volvo owners dyno day and i was offered a run so took the chance to see how she ran and what it was pushing.
results!

shocked quite a few of the volvo guys as it was only 50bhp short of some of their motors and i was the only n/a engine there!
(the wheel arch came off on the way there)
after getting fed up with the bonnet bra covering up the half job of a paint job the guy i bought it off did it ended up like this

then recently took the car along to santa pod to see what i could do, knowing that ford stated that the rs1800 1/4 was 16.5secs i hoped for nearer 16s 1/4 times
well... did better than that! got a 15.179 at 89.79mph and mostly high 15s and 16s due to missing gears happy as!
slowly been gathering parts for going down the ZT route as in its current spec i will not be able to see any more power really, just got to decide what management to use now really

Looks a decent base bud, quarter mile times were very good for the spec

those times were pretty good mate ,,when my fez was a 20l with the rs18 stuff it wasnt that quick
