Tailgaiting!!!

Postby slaney21 on Wed Mar 18, 2009 6:42 pm

Coming home from work earlier to have some tw8t in one of these french sh*t box 107's sitting up my rear for 8 miles before i hit the DC. He then proceeds to overtake before i could so i sit behind him until he moves then decides it would be a good idea to pretty much redline the frogbox to undertake me as we are approaching the solstice roundabout!!! I cannot stand tailgaiting, its one of the worst pet hates about driving. Fed up with people always assuming you want to race them because of the car or the fact that people expect you to floor it when you pull out of junctions etc...I hate all that and im not on the road to race, especially since my xr only pushes 99hp!!!

Honestly Grow a fu/k1n pair you tugger!!!! :x :x

rant over \

Tailgaters are tossers, i had van up my arse the otherday, he went to overtake me on a DC and i let him, then as he got side by side with me, he moved over into my lane! So heres me doing 40mph odd braking with cars behind me and nearly sending me into the curb. Well.. that got me a bit annoyed, and i dont get annoyed easily to be honest, i never beep or anything lol... so yea, i tailgated him to see how he liked it LOL.

This gets good... lol.

We eventually come to a set of red traffic lights, and i swore at him as i went past him pulling up tp the lights, then he cuts this car up nearly smashing into the front of it just to get behind me, he sat litterally an inch from my bumper, so i got out my car, looked at him and you could see his was in the process of laying a brick on the seat, then i went upto the window and said 'What the hell do you think you are doing? Are you fudgekin insane? First you nearly ram me off the road after being up my arse like you want to stick your dick in me, then you drive out into the other lane and nearly take out another car.. Have you even got a licence you fudgekin moron!?' Then this is the best be, he had a really high pitched voice and just says 'sorry'

Im not the scariest person to be honest, and i would never normally do anything like this, but i thought 'you know what, f**k it!' haha

haha. Classic danny.

Worst ive had so far with the xr is when i was going over some speed bumps in town and i have togo prety slow togo over them since the car is 60mm and on 15's and the speed bumps aint that small. Some smart arse was right up my bumper revin his engine in a wait for it.....astra van. He probably thought my car was still a van as it looks like it and thought it was a "van off" or something. So I just slowly went over the speed bumps started driving away and he wasnt backing off so I just planted it and left him behind and went an parked in a car park with one of my mates to smirk at the guy as he went past.

 I have just over taken you. (providing its two lanes) :bonkers: my car takes them at 40 with ease.
deter a tail gater. one cover brake pedal and tap lightly with left foot.

one of my favs is to drop it to an appropriate gear rip up the hand brake whilst plating the throttle causing the back wheels to lock then chuck the car around abit so it snacks down the road,

another flick on you fog lights

pull over and let them pass is always a good one

this was tops. fit a driving lamp on your rear parcel shelf up rate to 12O watt bulb. WHEN YOU GET A TAIL GATER FLICK IT ON.

I tend to use gears with tail gaiters to slow down. Make them think you aint got no brake lights normally gets them to back off.

stick the car in reverse  whilst sitting at lights/junction or traffic is another one

Ive seen the reverse done a few times.

My mate in his sierra kept getting some astra gsi trying to race him so he waited for him at speed bumps and parked horizontally across them and laughed at him for a bit.

I slow down using the gearbox when I have tailgaters - works every time. If you don't know when the car in front is slowing down, then you have to back off really...

just irritates the hell out of me. Ive noticed it more and more the past few weeks and is really putting me off driving in general. I might just take out the rear view mirror like i did before.

I know where the little scrote hangs out in the frogbox at nights now so if he does it again he can expect a visit :x

Motor way driveing for me this weekend. Ill find the fastest thing and follow it. At a 2 sec distant, If something comes up behind me faster Ill pull over, when can. Then ill follow them. Dont find many people will top a ton. By then their's not much chance of getting tailgated.

thought id add to this thread instead of making another.

Had to go round a van as the lights changed earlier as the car in front of him stopped on a box junction and nearly caused me to hit the van! i sped off up the road coming to the next set of traffic lights to find some old git with his suit jacket hanging up in his black 55 plate pugeout barge writing my plate down frantically! I gave him a death stare and he then pulls into the other lane and drives off. I checked his car over as he went passed and didnt see no cameras etc. would it be a desk jockey plod on his way to the station or some jobsworth?

it bugs me aswell, only time it really ade mee see red was a little 'conquering device' in a corsa, so close to me i couldnt even see his lights, me in an old astra diesel... with a towbar

lets just say he got a nasty shock when i braked VERY hard and he went into the back of me

his front end all panned in, my towbar had scratches on it and broke the plastic cover  :P
He gets out roaring and shouting, i just calmy apologised saying a badger ran out in front of me
then told hiom to stop being a 'conquering device' and tailgating then, walked into my car and drove off :bonkers:

I'm sure a lot of people don't actually pass a test to get their licence and instead just collect tokens from kellogs corn flakes then send them off with a postal order for £2.50 and an SAE.

I'm waiting to see if the golf collects one of these numpties when me or our lass aren't paying attention and have to brake heavily. :( :( :(
Nothing to see here...

my mate wasd in his clapped out diesel escort with a tow bar...rust bucket. 3 chives in 3 diff cars got up his arse, bludy close. so, after 5 miles of this through town, them flashing, swearing, bearing in mind we were doing the speed limit, and he nevers speeds when we got into a 50 he just chucked it in 2nd gear whislt doing 50. they all smakced into the back of him llama!

best thing was a copper was 2 seconds away and gave the chives a right rollocking. in fairness his car needed a new rear bumper but it was worth it.

only thing was he gave me no warning...just said 'watch this'. one of the tw@ts was almost in tears...and he was one of the ones swearing hehehe.

i know its not sensible but fok em.

also,

i usually find mopeds are the worst, stik on your rear bumper in a 30, and most have no repect for cars or the road. im saying most no all. then disapear in the national haha. had one up my arse a while back and a leaf flew into my path. obviously had to brake quite sharpish. was amusing to watch him s**t himself for a moment.

oi  I ride A moped. Not all although I tend to on round abouts and bends as on the ped you can still do 28mph as long as its dry. I do like to laugh at a lot of car drivers as I can get round and through things go quicker than the average driver does round bends. Its like cat and mouse. They pass me I take them at the round about. They pass me I pass them at the traffic lights and on it goes. I hate bad lorry drivers though their the worst :x .

Today 5 cars ended up stuck behind a lorry trying to over take a lorry. A ford puma, bmw, AUDI R8, Ferrie and me
Now I had been on m20 m25 no traffic ect ton in it. hit A13 a bit of traffic. It cleared Bmw and puma pulled away I followed one mile down road I see ferrie barring down on me. I move as soon as pos and it goes past the an R8 appears, passes me and I pull out. Puma pulls in bm pulls in and then they pull out. then :aaah: fck on breaks ton to 56mph and a car length between each. We stay like this for about 4 miles. Suddenly I see break lights from car in front :aaah: . I brake mirror and move over as puma snakes in front of me. The lorry driver over taking slowed to drop back and pull in. Dont suppose any of us ment to be so close Id had 10 car lengths till I got to the tunnel. Was a wake up  , Glade I had put new Tyres on and pressures are spot on :Q .

I was guilty of the when i had my moped, but i was young and stupid.

Not only would my ped have been pretty much on your bumper in the 30 zones but it would have been the same for the 50s too.
