Switch Problem On Dash

The fog light switches on the dash have two wires that control the small light.....

I can either get it on (blows fuses) all the time or off all the time, by swappin the wires over.

How do I get it to illuminate when on?

your obviously trying to wire it up wrong check the feeds

or knackerd switch

unattach the switch and put a test meter accros is, if its letting current through on both switch positions, then its nackered, also its poss the light inside it is causing a short circuit, worth checking
