Sub Box Size?
Hi
I'm making a custom mdf box for this sub:
Its a 12", 350W RMS, 1200W Max.
I'm going to use a single 4" round port. What approximate volume should I make the box?
Thanks
Chris

Er, because I already have one. What would you suggest, I'm a ICE noobie. I assume 12mm mdf is thick enough to build the box?
Thanks
Chris

They can drop better too, as well as sound better
all our boxes are slot ported or sealed now,
or can custom them, double skin etc

Um ... decisions. Basically It going in my Hillman Imp, so the box sits on what is effectly the parcel shelf. The box will be cuboid, with the sub on the top, just about wide (front to back) enough for the sub and just about deep enough, then I was going to use width (side to side) to make up the volume. The parcel shelf in a Imp is effectly its boot, its narrow, about 4 inches deep and about 4 ft wide.
What sort of volume (as in widthxlengthxhight) should the box be? ... I am right in thinking the is a optimum volume?
Does anybody sell slot ports that can eaisly be screwed into a mdf box?
Thanks
Chris
