I have an issue that I could do with some advice on. I currently have a KVT-717 kenwood flip out screen head unit in my car. I have been stupid enough to give it to my brother for his birthday to fit to his VW camper van. Only problem is he wants to have an ipod attached that will sit in the cab and the actual head unit in the back just set to play whatever he selects on the actual ipod.
Now is where it gets complicated. He has made a ipod dock that fits into his ash tray so the ipod attaches through the official ipod adaptor that is used to upload and download, charge etc. is there any way that the ipod can attach in this way to this head unit without all the info and control being on the screen? I know I can get this adaptor Kenwood KCA-IP500 but I don’t know if it will work in that way?
Many thanks
