K M8. I've also got an Onion hatch spoiler in pacifica blue. I reckon a cut&shut job would make it look really nice on a boot lid - it was going on mine, but I got the Mondeo job instead (boo! hiss!)

I saw a lovely WRC one with the upwards curved wing and flat kidney shaped vertical bits on the end on a chinese last night - universal fitment, looks the Nad's Badgers on the right car.

Good luck with it,

Alex

The spoiler - I'm willing to swap if you have anything that might be of interest to me, otherwise it's going to be around ... errm... say... £20? That's what I paid for it, and if it does all go wrong, at least you've had the experience without the cost. I'm in Stoke at the mo, but postage-wise, this thing's light as anything (about a kilogram) so it won't be a lot to wrap it up and send it for Xmas.

Cheers M8.

Pretty sure I want that orion spoiler, however I was wondering what it actually looks like!! Is it the same sort of style as the RST one? How shall I get the money to you? Email me the details.
What spec is you're Fezzie as I too am a student tosser! I'm happy with the exterior and ICE in mine now however I think it would be a good idea to upgrade the 1.1 lump!
Have you got any other bits lying about as I'm constantly on the lookout!!

Cheers,

Rob.

[Edited by Robz_Fester (21-11-2000 at 11:28 PM).]

Right, the spoiler is the one fitted to (I think) the same style Onion that was around when Escort S2s were being produced. It's quite a subtle boot lid type - not like the S2 or later Escort spoilers which curved down, and looked a bit like ... well, something wide and flat.

I forgot to mention, but if you're feeling adventurous, there's a metal pipe which runs through it to strengthen it. I'm pretty sure it's straight enough to assist a cut n shut job when you're aligning it, *BUT* more importantly, if you take the time to do it properly, you might just be able to engineer the spoiler so that the amount of "tilt" can be adjusted, a-la WRC spoilers (but smaller and not so good looking).

You can always throw it at the cat if you don't like how it comes out.

Ps I just spend £60 on Halfords spray paint for my sideskirts and bumper - this could be fun... not.

Money - cash in hand if you collect, otherwise a cheque to cover p&p and cost will do, although I'll have to wait for the money to go into the bonk. Give me a bell on 07947 354235 from 12pm onwards, any day, if you want to confirm anything.

I can't see that being a problem at the mo'. Give me a bell a couple of days b4, just to be sure.

If all else fails, I'll be down your way round xmas time, so we could organise a meet.

Ps A crack's appeared in my new bumper's paint already, and it's too thin (the paint) - I can see the primer :-( What a waste of time......

What bumper was it?? I'm lucky as my old man's got a a pressurised paint sprayer, so I recently got the whole thing resprayed in two pack I've tried using the Halford's paint but I can never get it to work either,
Best left for cracks and s*** like that I think!
I'll give u a call when I come up,

CheeRS.

The bumper is a smoothed XR2i back bumper, with the swage lines sanded right down level with the main body of the bumper, tow hook removed and bottom corner splitter swage lines filled. Looks a bit like a Polo rear bumper. Gissabell when you're on your way.
