saxo question

Problem or technical question?

saxo question

Postby DeanoW on Wed Jul 16, 2003 10:12 am

dunno if you can help but my gf's saxo's windscreen washer fluid has turned bad and stinks every time its used. Had a quick look but cant find how to get to the washer bottle so i could give it a proper clean out, so the only way i can think of doing this is filling it up and spraying it empty a few times but dont think it will be as effective.

i know its not a fezzy question but there must be some people who have/has a saxo and can help :) .

cheers guys

you should be fine just using all the fluid up and then replacing it with some containing a reasonably strong screenwash solution to overcome the stink - the alcohol in the screenwash will kill bacteria.

The screenwash im my XR3 turned into a thick goo that only jst came thorught the pump  looked like frogspawn all over the place

i have been informed this happens a lot in saxos as the water bottle is too near hot bits of the engine and it goes bad really quickly Just cause she owns a saxo doesnt mean you have to be so negative about it as everyone has their own taste yours is fiestas fair enuff but if she wants a saxo its her choice. just my 10p worth :P
