Hi all<br>i have a 1988 s2 rst and my gear box is playing up CASTLE PERFORMANCE said it is bulking (not sure what that is), but what i would like to know is can you get a mark5 GB with a LSD in to fit on my turbo??? because i have been told that the revs are a bit lower (for better ecc) is this true?<br><br>if i am on run doing 70mph my revs are at 3300rpm (is this norm)<br><br>my mate has a 1600 mk5 and his at the same speed is at 2500rpm.....<br><br>please help any info on gearbox's would help..

Only the Escort RST has an LSD fitted unless you're on about fitting an LSD into a mk5 gearbox.<br> I have an Escort RS Turbo gearbox for sale (£offers) still on the car i'm stripping & I don't think youre mega far from me either (Lincoln).

I'm afraid that no Mk5 came with LSD, but it is possible to fit one, but you need uprated main shaft bearings & a fifth gear puller.<br> Don't know the rev difference.<br>How does £200 sound.
