RS Turbo EFI Running Rough - NEW FAULT :/
Hi guys got my turbo conversion running just it's running like a bag of bolts with the map sensor vacuum on the map sensor. If I take it off it runs fine and revs up fine. Any ideas on this one?

Ouch... this happens I am afraid, due to the same shape... they have different codes unfortunately and they are not interchangeable... I have one too, sitting in a box and reminds me my ignorance back then...

Re: RS Turbo EFI Running Rough - NEW FAULT :/
Got the lend of the correct map sensor and cured most of my issues. I now have another issue, it idles fine, then from idle it will misifre, sometimes a bit sometimes hardly anything until it gets past a certain point then clears.
Any ideas on this? Ive tried a Co2 Pot, checked the plugs and they are still sooted up from the incorrect map sensor, what kind of gap should they have? Ive checked for boost leaks and all seems ok!
Cheers guys

If I am not mistaken the gap is around 0.8 - 1mm... I have write it down somewhere, but I think that I set mine at 1mm. Regarding misfiring, it may be running rich. Have you set it up? What's the AFR it is running under full boost and idle? You can't tell without a setup or a wideband nstallation. Further that it is dangerous to melt a piston, if it is running lean under boost...

I havent had it setup no, doesnt smoke much tbh and I havent driven it just got it in the garage. Cant see why it would need setting up running standard ECU etc?

Forgot to add, when I start it pretty much runs spot on straight away might I add, takes 20 secs then I get issues, even if its been running for ages ill knock it off, start it back up and it will be fine for 20secs

Just the same as the problem I'm having and I've changed all sensors for new, new ecu and loom and this weekend a new fuel pump and it's still giving me grief. Have you had any luck yet?
