mate y dont u stri0p the bloosy engine down and rebuild it to your own spec then you will know wots done to it end off max ull get out of 1.6 is 220bhp anymore and youll be putting loads of stain on the block if you want more power go for 1.8 zetec bottom end instead of spending all thatm oney on new boottom end or get a toll block if you want big power

will a 1.8 zetec block rezist 230bhp+ or u reckon rods etc still need replacin in that 1?

guys i got abit more info it taps badly and worried. when reving and going nowhere my misses says u carnt here it inside but u can when u drive!!! this is really buggin and pissin me off now. im gunna tie everything down , i noticed the front cooler rad not the water one the air dosnt have bolts at the bottom of it unless it is welded! to me though sounds like it is comin from the efi and lifters. isnt merchanics spost to know what it is with out replacin this and that and not being it? i read on ads project something was ratling and he sorted it? i was woundering if a Cosworth Ford Sierra RS 2wd would go in this fiesta?

Also why would you think a 2wd sierra engine will fit in? wouldn't everyone else have done this if it were that easy? And any engine will fit in any car it depends on how deep your pockets are!? Damn...what happened here...Obviously wayne is confused and irritated due to car problems and the endless pocket bleed...On the other hand we are getting nervous since he doesn't listen to what we suggest to him,but he is in between a..."reputable" mech from what he is thinking and he has been told,while in our minds his mechanic is totally tw@t...God knows how many of them so called mechanics I have seen here in Greece.Trouble is that people in here knows what is needed,but Wayne doesn't hear because he is convinced that his mechanic is right.He is right from his side,and you are by your side too.I am afraid that this poor car will end to the scrap due to bad circumstances.Wayne will be dissatisfied,since he will be convinced that the car is totally s**t and bad converted,looked after,his mech will blame all the other f@@king world and will never admit his ignorrance on RS's,(I agree that perhaps he is top bloke on Subi's,but man,regarding RS's HE KNOWS NOTHING!!!I wouldn't trust him either to fill my radiator ),and will blame everyone and everything else.Wayne must be completely confused and disatisfied.Worst of all,we can't help him...and it's really a pitty,for him,for the car,for the money he spent,and also for the first owner,the m8 from in here who sees his well spent money going to the bin.That's my opinion,and no intended to offend anyone,sincerely.But this is what I get from the entire thread...
