all xr2i and rs came with twin horns mate, seems strange both aint working, must be a fault with the feed, you got a meter?

ok georgy i do appoligise no hard feelings? thank's also .. the dam horn isnt workin llama the chap i had car off gave me sum bull dong most prob and said it used to wrk and dosnt well i carnt get it too work but not yet got time to get new oe of them horns yet, this horn though there is two horns the same on top of each other compared to the standard mk3, jay i thought u need to have the sparkplug thing like a gaurge and piston up or somit the % disk i seen vids of them specialist doing it unless it is diff for this car....

No hard feeling from my side.Now about the horn...have you tried to check if it is working?Unbolt it and test it by connecting it to a battery.If it works I can tell you some things to check,but you will need a multimeter,to measure volts and continuity.Have you ever worked on electrics?I mean do you know some basic staff?I guess you have checked the fuses and are fine...

good idear george wont it be too much voltage by doing that with the battery? i will test it tomo if it works u reckon id have to sweep the plastic off under the stering wheel if the horn works on the battery? the chap did say some1 messed with wire and worked again but didnt show me which one.... the horn is on the indicator on these though hopefully not hard to find which one it may be. i will give that a check anyway and let u know.

Lol.Not a good idea to test it with your tongue Horns work on 12V,so it takes feed from the battery via tha switch.The horn button is on the stalk,or in the center of the steering wheel?I don't own a fiesta,I have an Escort,and on Escorts is is on the steering wheel center pad.If yours is on the stalk,chances are that the connector goes to the switch at the base of the stalk is cut.I had the same problem on my previous escort,it had the horn switch on the stalk.Have you tried if you keep the button pressed,and move the stakl upside-down,away and towards you,does it work?Even intermitently?

yeah a eletric reading meter, its worth gettign one mate, you can get them cheap now days, and you will need it again, i put money on it

not tried that george will give a shot, gremlin, mark is a decent chap really, least he saved me 2 litres oil acordin to the others jay it is on my list then, id have a look for 1 cheap. why would i need one again btw?

Why you need a meter?Because in that way you can measure the wires and find where is the trouble and rectify it.You will need some patient though,cause the electrics in cars are a bit messy But nothing too complex,you just have to follow some steps.Check the switch and we will talk again.I am not too often in here due to heavy schedule at work but I will come back.Hopefully!

ad what forged rods do i need for these pistons? am i best replacin sumit else to when replacin the rods?, not sure what type to put in. also is this is all needed to make it more bhp?

forged con rods won add bhp but they will strenghen the botom end for better bhp if you wanted to up the boost because if you up the boost on standard rods youd bend a con rod as when i i sripped one of my rs turbo engines down too much boost had bent a conrod

+1...my erst bent no 3 an 4 bout 10 degrees off vertical How i didnt get one in the windscreen is a feckin mystery too me

Try burton power or PEC for rods fella...They top prices 4em though but u pays ya money as they say......

??? looks brand new sept bit of black on it.... i gone all around it and no chips or worn compared to other parts too... if no1 wants to buy id just save it lol i tried what george said with the horn indicator try pressin in movin dosnt work, its raining so havnt took the horn off to try it.. im not sure if something is right with the oil pressure when it is warmed up it has gone down to 10 psi standby no revs but when i rev and reach 3k revs it is aroun 35-40 psi then turbo hits 50+ i carnt member what it was at first because i hardly drove her only a bit. is 10 psi low for 1k revs? thats on tickover warmed up

the inlet lobes should all be the same lift, as should the exhaust, from here they look different.


heres a old post of a totally fcuked one i had, yours dones not look that bad but the No 2 lobes look worn.

ok so called 2nd hand head that is meant to have a stg 1 setup piper cam etc............

so your car is running neally 50 psi

well it would go more if i went too 6k revs or sumit so is 10 psi bad on tick over? and 45/50 psi 4.5k revs...
