respray or replace dash??

Postby RSTom on Fri Aug 31, 2007 10:19 pm

got running issues with my frst at the mo so she's at the doctors! while shes there i've been thinking how to sort the interior, it's got black leather seats and door cards but the crazy monkey who had it before attacked the whole inside with black spray- the rooflining, the dash, the carpet- the lot but made a crap job of it! i don't think sourcing a black carpet should be too hard but can't decide whether to spray the dash properley or just replace it? just read the guide for removing the dash so it's coming out!! :D :D
what do you reckon would be best to do?

Replace the dash with the one I've got in the For Sale section. :D

Colour lol. 3.5 was almost black, mk3 was grey.

What colour is your frst? I've seen a grey one around Bristol a couple of times.

replace all the painted bits, black dash (3.5 ) is direct fit, the mk3.5 black carpet differs to the the mk3, so you must get a black carpet from a mk3

if the dash has been painted then it will have lost its original texture so buying one would be the better option

Change the dash mate painted ones never look right. It's not too bad to do it just looks a bit scary when you get to the midway point.

Yes, but you have a ZS bumper and a smooth tailgate so you've already shown you can't be trusted :P
