Remote central locking

Postby Brammer on Sat Apr 22, 2006 10:02 pm

As the title says i'm after fitting remote central locking to my car as i am having the doors delocked, i bought a remote kit off ebay and the thing is a waste of time the door soliniods are suposed to be universal but they don't unlock and lock the door consistant enough for delocking,

If anyone knows of a cheap alarm or a remote kit that fits a mk3 correctly let us know, it doesnt matter if the alarm is s**t i only really want the remote.

Cheers

Save up and get something quality. If you go for something cheap you can bet it'll break somewhere inconvinient and refuse to let you in the car. A better one will make the whole car feel like a quality product too.

That type of universal wont work because ford central locking is cable type, but the one in the pic is a rod type for cars like peugoets citreons ect.

You need one that will wire into the wiring and pulse that instead as that is how Ford locking works. Halfords do a cheap alarm with remote locking interface which will work :)

Ive got no door locks including the boot
No locking on either side of the doors

I wanna de handle nx.

but did i waste my money with the centra locking?

The dehandle kit is £125 with everything including

end of the day its only a s**t dezil is it worth it no when a merc is sitting on the drive and waiting for my 21st bday to insure it, lol
