thanks for the rest of your comments,
really been an awesome weekend,
really enjoyed having the car back, was suprised at the attention it got
might be lowering the car sometime this week,
not in any rush to though, i dont get any rubbing at all except full lock
(which is expected)
should be more updates later this week

well its been a while since trax and the progress has been slow,
but nether the less been enjoying the car with its new look,
so firstly taken proper pics since trax, lovely location
one showing my seats
this is my fave, shows the straight panels, width on the wheels and a cracking reflection
also very soon i should have some silicone hoses etc for the engine bay,
so got two bits ready,
my nice new radiator and header tank
also trimmed the sides of my number plates as they were far too wide,
but kept them legal also, i think the law states you have to have 11mm border around each font
so i've kept 20mm, a little touch but i'm happier so its all good
i'll have proper day light pics soon to show them better,
but for now,
you'll notice i've put the clear rears on, this is because my german rear lights had indicators which shined white, so waiting for some silvatech indicator bulbs
also changed all the bulbs and cleaned all the connections and got my lights on the front bumper working,
was only expecting the fogs to work as i thought the loom was different to the xr2i/frst which also have spot or driving lamps,
but much to my shock, they work, so i'm really chuffed

I hadn't noticed any updates since the beginning of September, and certainly didn't know the car had made it to Trax
It looks cracking on the Cossie wheels, and that paint should be a brilliant one to keep looking deep and new
When's it getting power?

sk8xtrm - i'm out nearly everynight so i'm suprised you aint seen me,
heeman10 - still in two minds on which way to go for power, tb's or turbo?
not in a rush to do it, just making sure the car is ready for the power first,

It looks very smart, paint looks ace!
If you're not into detailing, then check out detailing world, and it'll make sure the paint stays perfect

Turbo. You can't have a car on Cossie wheels running a normally-aspirated engine!

heres how my engine bay has looked for sometime, dirty etc
so with a few chrome bits, new hearder tank, rad and hoses
thought i'd make a start
out with the old rad and header tank,
shocking the difference compared to the new
changed the thermo stat aswell for good measure
one of the new hoses on
the new header tank with chrome cap and new hoses connected
the overall engine bay, much happier with the new rad
still loads to change and do, like colour coded cam cover etc
but i'm happy with the changes so far
you can even see the rad with the bonnet closed, so i'm happier

I can't make my mind up which I prefer out of the Cossie wheels or RS7s. It's a nightmare with wheels as popular as the RS7s as they're on about 15% of all Fords on the road now
Same goes for Escort GTI 15s and Mondy 16s. Yes, they look good, but they're not individual any more. If that's not your thing (the individuality thing) then it's fine. I'm not after having a completely unique car, just a car that I like, so it doesn't bother me that 3 in 4 Mk3 Fiestas have my wheels
The radiator and header tank were much needed! Why does it look like the header tank already has tea in it though
Is it weird anti-freeze or does the engine all need a good flushing out? It'd be a shame to stain a brand new tank straight away
Can you lower it any without it scrubbing?

its fords own anti freeze, which did'nt have much colour to it a slight purple only,
i really wanted to flush the head out, but did'nt want to look for more work
as i dont really want to spend any money on this engine, i just want it to last until the new lump is ready,
the rs7's are nice and look great at night,
but dont have the same full fat effect the cossie's do,
so they'll be back on soon,
as for lowering, a dodgy vibrating from either gearbox or shaft when going right, so have'nt lowered her since being back from the bodyshop as it gets worse the lower the car,
still got the low milage diesel box to go in for now,
also new gearbox linkage, but waiting to sort a b&m selector hopefully so i can do it all at once,
then she'll be tastefully lowered
