hmm good point, but its prolly bolted on? wouldnt paint work be damaged if i took it off? Anyway, at college, with all these new drivers, and my clumsy mates, doors get smacked into the sides of cars. Should see my passanger side door, about 4 dents - lil ones. If i took off the strips, may get worse!

good point - it's okay if you only park somewhere safe (without clumsy drivers)

mine has never has these protector strips - so i don't get a choice.

what about the paint underneath - any ideas? how will they be fixed on?
Actually, just loooked at car - they are on a raised contour. would look silly without them wouldnt it?

Its just stuck on so if you peel it off slowly you should br fine, it doesnt look stupid at all! looks class, use Auto-Glym Extensive Tar remover to remove the excess Glue. Hope that helps

Chilliedog, like Rob says, just peel em back and then once they come off...use autoglym tar remover to get the remaining glue off, then u can use a bit of elbow grease and give the car a polish so that all of the marks are gone.

then u can possibly go for clear indicators or even get everything colour coded prehaps?? if ur interested i know someone that will do the spraying for u so just let me know

oh, and what about he fact that the trim bits are on a raised bit? if I take 'em off it may look a bit silly wouldnt it? When i get the cash, clear repeaters and indicators are on the cards

for the clears, go to a company called Speed Shack in london someplace...they do a delivery service as well i think but i'll double check for u...and i'll dig up their number and website add as well (if they have one!)...about the respray...u'll probably be looking at around the £200ish mark...but the guy i know will sort it out a little for u. what different bumpers u considering going for?

the pastic trim should come straight off and there shouldnt be a rised bit on there as far as im aware...u are talking about the plastic trims on the doors arent u?? (better make sure im talking about the right thing :rolleyes:

I got clear indicators you can have (ok, so one is cracked, but still looks better than orange!!!) my ex room mate lives in that neck of the woods (rock is it????) so I'll probably be down this summer..... I also at some point will buy brannd new ford skirts and arches.... mine are ok... but not perfect... and I'm a perfectionist!!! (see pic whereeverthey are on this site!!!) but they won't be fre :razz:

Chilliedood, all fiestas have the raised bit, its part of the contour so dont worry, just take it easy when you take the strip off.

oh, i took mine off and then found out the paint underneath was a different colour. Apart from that i had no problems.
