Newbie....
Evening all,
I've just signed up, as i've just put a deposit down on an RS1800 which I should be getting hold of beginning of June. I remember Summer was on here back when I had a Mk6,she reckomended me this a while back. I'm on a number of different sites as MR G (or Mister G) so some of you may have met me before.

It's standard and clean, just how I like it, Ihave a few more pics if anybody is interested. My plan ar purely some more polish, maybe an engine bay tidy up if anything a senible ride height and just enjoy.
Can't wait
My current daily

2.0 Zetec Supercharger work in progress

Re: Newbie....
Thanks guys!
The orion is the same as the one that I begged my Dad to buy when I was three years old, we had it brand new for about four years.
Its a 1989/90 Ford Orion Equipe
Currently in build with a 2.0 Zetec Silvertop (completely being stripped and rebuilt) which it will run first before having a Supercharger bolted on (probably a Jackson racing one)
- Fully adjustable TCA's
- Koni Adjustables
- Painted and smoothed engine bay with wiring through the wings
- 300mm ST170 discs and Mondeo Mk3 Callipers
- Fully Polybushed
- Rs Turbo F/R rollbars
- Ford Mudflaps lol
Aiming for a senible 200bhp

It's my baby, I'll never sell it, just can't wait to drive it again!
If anybody is interested i'll post up pics of my other Fords, I've had a Mk6 Fiesta, 3x XR3i's, A Mondeo ST Tdci and 2 other Onions!

Re: Newbie....
i here ya, when i got the xr2 i remembered just how much fun there were, i had loads between 97 and 2000, but 2 were "mine" then i got the RS in 98, but yeah, getting behind the wheel of a 80s ford is nice
its just a shame you feel how slow they are compaired to todays cars
but like you, i have a 2 litre sat waiting to go in the xr

Welcome to the forum, some nice cars there. The RS1800 looks mint!
I'd be interested to see how the supercharged zetec project goes, something a couple of people have looked into before on here.

Re: Newbie....
Love the Orions. My dad had one years ago and it was such a great little car!
I was talking to him tonight about getting one to replace my runaround, something like a 1.4 Ghia (or CFi Ghia), but finding one is so difficult now
The blue one looks very nice - mind me asking how much you were asking for it?

Re: Newbie....
Wow some nice fords there. I had an escort eclipse back in the day that was the same colour as your red "onion" if I remember rightly its Flambeau Red Metallic. Lovely colour when properly polished like yours is
