As if the rules aren't stupid enough, yes they are there for buyer protection, but some may or may not know, that if you have under an 10 positive feedback rating on ebay, you MUST accept paypal, well i have 9 positive ratings, at 100%, so when i advertised a couple of electrical items, which sold for no more than £200 for the pair, ( to two different buyers bare in mind ), i came into an issue with paypal during the week where someone tried to gain access to my account, and therefore paypal locked my account off, ive now got to accept a call on my landline telephone number so they can ring me and give me an automated verification code, simple as it that may sound, i have had the paypal account for well over a year and have recently moved from my parents into my own flat and i do not have access to a landline telephone, i did think of fiddling it ( putting a friends home number in and getting him to do it for me ) but it wont let me change the number, there is option i can see to edit it.

So back to the eBay auctions, well if you put NO PAYPAL in an auction, and your feedback is under 10 positive, eBay WILL delete your auction for not accepting paypal, so i thought that if i put, in size 36, illuminous pink letters ' PAYMENT BY CHEQUE, POSTAL ORDER OR BANK TRANSFER PLEASE ' and then emailing said highest bidders 6 hours before the auction and sitting here and watching the auctions until they ended, emailing potential buyers as they bid, warning them i cannot accept paypal, if they are not okay with this, please do not bid..

and on both account, they still bidded, won the auction, and STILL paid to my paypal adress, and now ive got 2 messages in my inbox ' paypal payment pending
' i go to my paypal and the money is not showing, so where the money for these 2 items is sitting, i do not know, i got pretty racked off with the last guy because he did say to me cheque would be okay and then went and pursued to pay via paypal...

As for mail order companies, well twice this week i ordered some gym supplements from a website i have always used, now bare in mind my flat is a old student house converted into 4 flats, 1 is empty and 3 are accomadated, and im friends with all who live here, so when my delivery didn't turn up after 2 weeks, nothing was put through the door, i got an email saying that DPD couriers tried to deliver my parcels, and DHL and on both times, it was refused ?

Now i spoke to these two couples that live here and neither of them had anything attempted to be delivered, as we all work different shifts, days, nights etc...

There is major roadworks outside my house, so im only imagining it was too much effort to park in pub 4 doors down the road and walk down...

I've done it too - someone told me to pay by cash on delivery and when you finish an ebay auction it instantly prompts you to pay by paypal - I was on auto mode and did it, luckily i realised and stopped the payment - still took me 3 and a half weeks for paypal to give me my money back, and once they did it was less the paypal fees! :x

Thats what this guy has just told me.

But he paid £100 into my bank as a deposit and is collecting next Friday.

So its all good.

I hate paypal, ive even sold something, took payment, then this guy even came to my front door to collect the items (alloys) when he got home he filed a dispute against me that he hadn't reicieved the goods, took me the best part of 5 weeks to win that one :x

Everyone seems to be out there to make a quick raise of each other at the minute. Its suprising the amount and length of hassle you have to go through on eBay, ive sold two items, totalling £380, half of that i wont see because this foreign guy doesn't understand english and his money is sat in the hands of paypal somewhere and ive got to wait 2 weeks for the rest of it...
