My 1.1 Si-c (Sapphire identity-crisis) TEST PASS + Pics
Rather than introduce myself i thought i'd introduce my car first. It's basically a hand me down from my brother (costing £400
)
A Fiesta Sapphire 5 door 1.1 This is my first car and i'm quite proud of it, (though it is FAR from perfect,
). So far paid my brother £150 and still owe him another £250.
Started off standard and together we have fitted thefollowing:
Si kit (drivers side spat needs replacing when i have time)
K&N filter
Exhaust trim to fill up hole in Si bumper
New clocks with rev counter
Also i'm currently fitting a full Si interior (just door cards left as it got dark, spent too long clening it all
)
Ooh you'll be happy t know Sapphire badge was taken off today aswell.
I.C.E
Parcel shelf has a pair of 10cm Kenwoods
Front Doors are 13 cm JBL GTO coaxials.
In boot is Cheapy 12" SPLx sub with equally random Amp 'Bass Force 600' 600W 4 channel bridgeable thingy (may a broken it today though
) I think it all sounded pretty good when it was working though, adequate if nothing special.
Headunit is a temp Job, hoping to get this http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk/product/Sony_CDX-GT500.html
Think that's about it in terms of the car at present. Plans include a suspesion drop and some real alloys probz 15'' in same style as trims, would also be nice to get rust sorted out
Smoked rears seem appealing as do clear repeaters. However, most of this will take a while, as i'm pretty broke, also as it's a 1.1 i aint gonna be keeping forever so more expensive jobs probly wont happen.
Car is SORN, as it's out of tax, and i've not yet passed my test (27th June!!) thus no insurance either which is bound to be a killer. (18yrs old 0 NCB)
Opinions /Constructive criticism welcome.

Finished interior today
Out with the old in with the new
Still missing door handles armrests in rear though
As it did not come with any.
A bargain non the less though, got off Ebay for £25 and then a further £25 to post...
Clear repeaters will probably next as they are fairly cheap.

arghhhhh!! Messed it up in last 30 seconds of the test!!, only had 7 minors aswell, now have to wait another month and pay another £85
EDIT - Scummy DSA only has tests on saturdays available over next month, so thats a total of £94!! £58 for the test then a further £36 to my instructor.

Passed My test Today!!! Despite a pigoens best efforts to fail me (i swerved
) luckily examiner let me off.
Unfortunalety can't drive my Fez just yet, cos i need to wait for the insurance certificate before i can tax it.
Some photo's from the other day aftera wash + wax
First driving task is today though, Dad's going to pick up his VW camper (just had new engine) and he needs me to drive my mam's car back. It's 1.4 automatic Metro. Will probably feel like a go cart, (and be much nippier than my 1.1)

Though i am quite proud of my badge-mod idea
Further plans (money permitting) are simply some proper alloys in a similar design to my wheel trims and a suspension drop - Oh, and some smoked rear lights too.

Good plans with the alloys and a drop,5 doors look sweet with little work done to them.
