I won a brand new one on ebay a few years back for £1, yes £1! The guy I collected it from was a bit rough and I asked about the scantily clad girl in the ad (who was propping up the beam), it was his wife and no word of a lie he said if I give him a bit more she'll pose for me in person. Lol! BTW it was a sport Ka beam. Same thing.

I wonder if they are still trading on ebay!

£370 gets you this - i.e. not a lot, mainly fixtures and fittings!

No these are Ford stamped - proper UK market, I got them a couple of years ago for £50. I have more. Seriously though, I don't know what the fuss is with these. They've been available since the Mk3 was new. 1900cvh pushed up the price to artificial levels IMO, and I think you've got to be out of your mind to pay more than £100 for these. I'm going to cut up a spare set to fit Mercedes LED's behind

Thanks boys - I aim to get a hydraulic pedal clutch conversion finished today. I'm not far off interior refit now :D

Clark I find the mk3 arm a bit spindly, I'm not a big fan of it TBH. The Mk4 arm seems to be a love it or hate it mod these days.

Rob - yeah, it's been a regular thing for the past 6 months or so. The trouble is, half the time you don't end up seeing what you've bought, but it's nice to have everything fastened well and feeling as tight as it did when new.

How is the quattro project coming along? Haven't seen an update on that for a long time now! I guess this takes up most of the time too, which doesn't help much.

I had a few options - the GT28 turbine with a 0.64 for strong spool but a cap of 380HP. The 0.84 housing is about 400rpm laggier but does over 400. Then the Gt30 56mm wheel with a 0.64 is between the GT28 options but will still make 400HP, only a bit further up. I've gone with the GT30 for now but I do want one of these: http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mv ... y_Code=GTX

I have until next week to decide as that is when some more parts will be ordered. I'm considering saying sod it and going for 500+ :D

I don't think Ian likes the Duratec as they don't stand up to high power. They are fine for ~350 though.

LOL you can probably find a post on here of me saying anything over 350bhp is pointless. Yes I'm being completely hypocritical.

I just want to put my foot down without changing down and and be at 170+ without the need for a massive stretch of tarmac.

Cool, I have black centre caps for mine - the ones like in the photo had discoloured and some have black so I ordered those.

Did you think about 40 profile tyres? Ride comfort I guess. I changed from 45's to 40's on my Mk4 for looks and the wheels were also catching with it being quite low.

45's looked like this: http://www.m4xww.co.uk/www/main.php?g2_itemId=95

Yes comfort was a consideration, and also the F1's weren't available in 40 profile, but if they rub, I'll take them straight off and order some different tyres. I have a feeling they won't last long anyway :D
