Mondeo steering gear spanner
Hi guys does anyone have the special shaped spanner to loosen the steering rack bolts on a mondeo mk1/2 subframe they want to sell to me?
I cannot find anyone tool place that does them anymore , obviously not a common car that gets serviced regularly anymore
I think it's 18mm
Cheers.

Have you tried a half moon spanner? Any pics so we can see what you mean?

Don't have a pic, if you have worked on a mondeo before you'll know where I mean. I think a half moon might work, just thought I'd check on here first. I is possible to use a normal spanner, it's just very restrictive and you can't get much leverage onto it. Cheers

Loosened it in the end thanks anyway
Got a long reach spanner to crack them off and finished off with a ratchet spanner
